Congratulations to Virginia-Certified gelding Arden'slucktobe, who won a $49,245 allowance race last Friday at Laurel! Trained by Diana McClure and raised at her DMC Carousel Farm in Berryville, the son of Madefromlucky beat runner-up Dark Timber by two lengths with Tais Lyapustina up. I just have to say that i will be forever grateful to Lori Bourne for inviting me to see her longtime friend Bobby Montano in his play Small. I have Never Been So Moved by a Performance!!! Lori, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! Bobby told us he will be making a stop in Va in the future. I will post the dates and the venue over and over! I will bring everyone i know to see this Amazing Man Tell His Amazing Story!!

The Thoroughbred Makeover Champion award is sponsored by Churchill Downs and is selected by the judges from all ten Makeover disciplines, who assess the discipline winners throughout the day.

Forthegreatergood (Scipion - No Peeking, by Langfuhr) is a 2015 16.1 hand gray/roan gelding bred, owned, and raced in Maryland by Donna Lockard. Laura Sloan competed Forthegreatergood in both Show Jumper and Field Hunter this week for his owner Donna Verrilli, and led the Field Hunter discipline in every stage this week.

The People's Choice Award, sponsored by Achieve Equine, was awarded to the discipline winner selected by fans via text-in vote. The People's Choice winner will direct a donation to the equine charity of their choosing. The 2021 People's Choice Award winner is Icarius, trained by Alexandra Beckstett.
