(6)

Forever Furry Friends Rescue is dependent on donations, and volunteers to keep running and to run smoothly. We are going to be registering with the Attorney General's office as well. We are registered with Guide Star as well. Our Rescue Services are organized to rescue and protect animals while offering assistance to pet owners, communities and fellow rescues and shelters. We educate about the imp

ortance of being prepared for emergencies and life changing events, about responsibilities as pet owners. Teaching communities how they can take part in helping animals and helping keep pet populations down, and what to do if an emergency or life changing event does come up. We are also organizing a statewide program to provide TNR Services throughout the states of Minnesota and Wisconsin which will include developing TNR teams, a special equipment lending program for doing TNR, and setting up a funding program to help with veterinarian care for the animals TNR'd, and setting up relocation possibilities for those that need to be relocated. We believe that as rescuers we all should work together to help protect and save the animals in need. We will take in local animals as well as animals in need in Minnesota and Wisconsin as needed, getting them vetted and evaluated for what they need to be adopted and set them up in appropriate fosters to help them prepare. But we also will assist fellow rescues if needed with projects, saving animals, find resources as well as other areas if needed. We Have some wonderful and experienced people in our group who do TNR, Behavioral Work for dogs, Cat care, Dog Care and Training, Transport, and other areas. We also have some who are always doing research to acquire more information, resources and ways to help animals even better.

**Are You or Someone You Know a Senior Citizen or Individual with Disabilities Seeking Companionship?**

Forever Furry Friends Rescue is excited to introduce our new initiative, **Seniors for Seniors**. This program is designed to connect senior citizens and individuals with disabilities with loving furry companions who can bring joy and companionship into their lives.

As part of our commitment to this program, we will ensure that all animals are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. Additionally, we will provide food and necessary supplies, allowing our clients to focus solely on offering love, time, and a nurturing environment for their new furry friend.

Our dedicated team is here to offer ongoing support and assistance to address any concerns that may arise, ensuring a smooth and fulfilling experience for both the pet and the owner.

We are currently preparing to welcome two senior dogs on **August 5, 2025**, and we will begin their veterinary care and profile development as we start the client screening process. We also have a wide selection of cats and dogs in our intake process, many of which will qualify for this wonderful program.

If you or someone you know is interested in this opportunity, please reach out to us at Forever Furry Friends Rescue. You can visit our website at **foreverfurryfriendsrescue.org**, email us at **[email protected]**, or connect with us on Facebook.

Together, let’s create lasting bonds and provide loving homes for our furry friends!

🐾 **Join Us in Making a Difference!** 🐾

Forever Furry Friends Rescue, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Bertha, MN, is reaching out to our compassionate community. With the increasing number of animals being abandoned, surrendered, or left in dire situations, the need for rescue has never been more urgent. We are calling on caring individuals to step forward as fosters for our beloved cats and dogs.

**Why Foster?**
Fostering not only saves lives, but it also allows you to play a vital role in finding these animals their forever homes. We provide all necessary veterinary services, and, when available, we also assist with food and supplies. Plus, as a foster for a 501(c)(3) organization, you may be eligible for tax deductions!

Fostering can be a commitment ranging from a single day to several months, depending on each animal's needs. You'll have the unique opportunity to understand your foster’s personality and behaviors, enabling you to help match them with the perfect adopter.

And rest assured, our fosters are truly appreciated! We take the time to express our gratitude and celebrate the incredible work our fosters do.

Subject: A Call to Action for Our Local Animals in Need

Dear Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to address a matter that is close to my heart and vital to the mission of our group. It is essential that we refocus our efforts on the animals in Minnesota who are in urgent need of support and protection, as our mission statement emphasizes.

I want to express that my intention is not to offend anyone or diminish the challenges faced by rescues in other areas. However, the recent pressures brought on by the pandemic, rising costs of living, and resource shortages have led to an overwhelming situation in our local rescues and shelters. Many animals here are at risk of euthanasia, including those that are shy, fearful, or have special needs. The lack of accessible veterinary care exacerbates this crisis, resulting in more abandoned and neglected animals, while our shelters are already overwhelmed.

I urge our community to consider the implications of bringing animals from other states, particularly from regions like Texas, where the situation remains critical. Before facilitating the transfer of animals to Minnesota, we should prioritize stabilizing the local environment and supporting our existing rescues. It might also be beneficial for those states to develop regulations regarding the transfer of animals until their own needs are adequately addressed.

The statistics surrounding this issue are staggering, and it is painful to witness the distress of pet owners who lose their animals only to find them rehomed under misleading circumstances. Many individuals may struggle to access information or services, further complicating their ability to reclaim their beloved pets. This heartbreaking reality only reinforces the need for us to focus on local animals who deserve a chance at life.

I recognize that many of you share my frustrations, and I appreciate the dedication you bring to this cause. However, I have faced challenges in advocating for our local animals and have encountered negativity in my efforts. My commitment to ensuring that these animals receive the love and care they deserve remains steadfast.

In conclusion, I kindly ask that we come together to prioritize the needs of the animals in our community. Let us channel our energy toward supporting local rescues and ensuring that every animal has the opportunity to thrive. Thank you for your understanding and compassion.

Our Story

Forever Furry Friends Rescue formerly Rainbow Cove Rescue works hard to rescue the animals in need, be it lost, abandoned, neglected, abused, sick or injured and do not discriminate against age, size, breed, condition, as all animals get the same chance and we do not euthanize because they are with the rescue for a long time.

We will only take in animals when we have enough space for them with priority to stray/abandoned/impound/lost animals then surrenders will be taken in if we have the space to do so, which we place all animals with fosters until they find their forever homes. Animals will first be seen by the veterinarians and tested for communicable diseases and injuries starting them on any necessary treatments and if applicable be broughtacurrent of vaccinations and making sure they get their spay or neuters. If they need to be quarantined we will do so here in our office area and it will also make it more efficient to treat and observe as they are going through recovery. In case of momma animals, we will do what we can before placing them in foster homes to prevent fosters pets from getting sick of something is bothering the animal. The fosters will treat the animals as their own until a forever home is found and they are adopted out.

We will also be working on setting up a pet food and supply pantry to assist those with pets in need of a supplement so they don’t have to rehome their pets for short-term financial issues. Which the food and supplies are mostly provided by donations from the public and could come from larger donations from pet food and supply manufacturers and retailers.

We will also try to work in a trap neuter and release program as well as a pet wellness check up clinic if we can find Veterinarians to work with us on this for a special rate, We would like to start a fund for veterinarian care vouchers for vaccinations and or spay neuter program, and for emergency vet care for those whose animal may have gotten injured or got sick suddenly and the owners don’t have enough funds to see the vet, We cannot cover the whole bill but will see if we can set up some sort of emergency fund to at least the animal can be seen and start a form of treatment if needed to save the animal if it can be saved. After several close calls with our personal pets w, understand how hard this can be and stressful as well. We will also make available upon request lists of Veterinarians that can be contacted that will work with our programs.
