Soon to be ready for adoption!!
Annie.
A Russian Blue kitty.
She's lovely, but will need a home where her family is patient.

She spent her first year of life feral and giving me kittens 🤣.
It's taken a couple of months for her to go from hiding in the corner to voluntarily jumping in my lap for love.

I doubt it will take THAT long for her family because she's been loved and treated very well through her transition to being an indoor kitty...so a lot of that fear is gone. That timeline is worth mentioning though so that it is expected that she will be slow to integrate and who ever loves her next will know what to expect.

She's fixed, up to date on shots, is very good with getting her nails cut and getting baths when needed.

And she's SO soft!!!

Ready for Halloween, look at Walter sporting his swashbuckling pirate costume ready to take on any high seas adventure.
He is one of our rescues who was found by a person abandoned underneath her in a cat carrier. Luckily he has found the perfect home and show what a handsome and loving cat he is!

Just recently one of our Forgotten Felines' volunteers became aware of two female cats in danger of being shot for the crime of being pregnant. Immediately she came to the rescue and was able to help these furbabies. Within days they both went into labor and had 5 kittens between them. As you can see they are co-parenting, supporting each other. That is so beautiful, we should take a lesson from them. In that spirit, we are asking for your support. We urgently need donations of adult and kitten food – wet & dry, clumping litter, and money for our medical fund for future vet appointments for these furbabies. Please use our PayPal account [email protected] or mail your donation to PO Box 234, Bertram,TX, 78605. The cats and kiittens appreciate your help.😀

Okay. Next week Friday (10-13) is my birthday. As much as I want cards and chocolate & flowers, I really want everyone to go to our page, Forgotten Felines of Texas. I want y’all to “like” the page, then make a donation, however small, for the kittehs. Thank you! “That was easy”

I’m sorry about some of the off-point stuff on this page. I’m working on it! Donations to PayPal [email protected] or send a check to PO Box 234, Bertram 78605 AND THANK YOU!

The extent of feline over population is so significant, most can not understand! Just in our area there are so many in need of homes and many who have grown and become an age where socialization to the adoption level can not be done. They need help, humanely!
Below are some words of wisdom. No kill rescues can not accommodate the number of requests coming in and responsible rescues won’t bring in more than what they can properly/safely care for. No kill rescues can’t spay/neuter all the community cats in our area. We can help educate community members to take care of what is in their path to stop reproduction and care and socialize those young enough. Join the group to help our community cats! just think of the results that would occur if each just did one……..

Learn something with me today as I think my way through some issues with Tractor Kitty .

Cat patterns have names!
Did you know that? I sure didn't.

We have a black and white kitten that's the most vocal and curious baby out of the new litter who has a pattern that matches. He's a good mix of the bicolor and tuxedo patterns. He is almost right smack in the center of both.

After I finish with TKs morning, I will pull him out and compare. But for now I'm going to look for other pattern names for cats and see what I find!

As for TK, she's spent the last almost 24hrs curled up, didn't even reposition over night. She ate about half what she normally eats yesterday for breakfast, and pretty much refused the bottle the rest of the day. This morning I gave her no choice and dripped about 2tbsp of milk slowly into her mouth to 'force feed' her.

Her swinging health lately seems to swing far lower each time. Her spring back up from her last dip was to p**p on her own after a couple days.

I hope some day she makes it out of kitty ICU, but for now...it's just going to continue.

Cheer her on..

Anubis will be ready for adoption in 1 week!
He is 5 months old and we are in the Austin area. He will have his trouble puffs removed Tues Aug 8th.

He's got the softest hair I have ever felt on a kitten. Absolute love bug, and super low key. Would do very well with another kitty, but not dogs.

Meet Fernando! He is 100% silver smoke Persian. He was abandoned under a car but we think he might have been used for breeding. He is absolutely gorgeous and a sweet fellow, especially considering all that he has been through. He has been fixed and had a health exam. $200. He is not grumpy, that is just his Persian face!
