Our pack members all learn and practice door etiquette! We practice sit and wait by the door as well as waiting until their name is called to go outside! We also practice not pushing past humans and playing follow the leader! The more your dog comes to visit, the better they get at it and start doing these things at home too! We really focus on helping dogs become better versions of themselves while they’re here! We help them learn and practice listening skills and learning doggy social skills. 🐾💕

It’s widely believed that cats like to drink milk, but the majority of cats are actually lactose intolerant! The sugar in milk is usually too much for their stomach to handle. Please don’t give your feline friends milk to drink and talk to your vet about your cat’s dietary needs! 😺

Recently, we’ve had an increase in last minute cancellations… which really hurts our business. 🥲
Last month, we lost over $400 in cancellations!

When someone cancels last minute, it’s very hard for us to fill that spot up again, which means we’re short for the day. The folks we had to tell no because we’re full, either have to change their plans or find another sitter. Sometimes, this costs us potential clients.

We have always had a cancellation policy, but have not enforced it. We do our very best to be understanding and flexible with everyone, and we know life likes to throw monkey wrenches into our lives… but we are going to have to start enforcing our cancellation policy, starting Dec. 1st.

Our policy:
There is no fee for cancelling with more than 48 hours of notice before services.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of services, will be charged for 50% of their scheduled service. (Charges apply to services scheduled within the next 48 hours only)
Cancellations made within 24 hours of services, will be charged $100% of their scheduled service. (Charges apply to services scheduled within the next 24 hours only)
We will terminate services after 3 no call no shows.
That being said, if your pet becomes ill or hurt right before services, we will not charge a cancellation fee. We are appreciative of sick pets staying home to avoid making anyone else sick.
These fees will have to be paid before continuation of services.

Please know…
It’s okay to have to cancel or reschedule!
It’s okay that life got in the way of your plans!
We do understand and aren’t mad!
But, we can’t afford to continue to lose income either.

We are also starting a Doggy Daycare cancellation list! If you’d like your dog to come to daycare on a day we are booked full, we can put you on our cancellation list! If someone cancels, we’ll let you know you can bring your pup!

Bandit’s pawrents recognize and understand that he is a little slow to trust. That’s why they’ve been bringing him to doggy daycare for a couple months prior to their vacation; to let him adjust slowly before boarding. It’s a furtastic strategy to help anxious pups! But today was the milestone maker! I’ve been seeing Biddy during her family’s getaways for awhile now. In the beginning, she would hide from me. Then, she watched me from afar, until she was comfortable enough for me to give her a few scritches. Eventually, she started leading me to her bowl, which is where I put her treats so her canine sister doesn’t get them. Each visit, I have tried to get her to take the treats from me. I was okay with her never getting that comfortable with me, but today she did! 😁 My heart is so full! It takes a high level of trust and comfort for cats to take food from human hands.
