Dog Shoes: Do and Don'ts*

Do Measure Properly:
Ensure you measure your dog's paws accurately before buying shoes.
This will help you choose the right size for a comfortable fit.

Make sure your dogs nails are trimmed at the time of measuring

Don't Leave Them on All the Time: ( dogs can over heat in shoes)
While shoes can protect your dog's paws, don't leave them on all day.
Allow your dog's paws to breathe and rest without the shoes.

Do Train Your Dog:
Introduce the shoes gradually and train your dog to wear them.
Positive reinforcement can help your dog get used to wearing shoes comfortably.

While allowing your dog to become comfortable wearing the shoes, also check your dogs feet for rubbing spots, that are rubbing hair off or creating sores.
Just like breaking in new shoes :)

By following these do and don'ts, you can ensure that your dog gets the most benefit from wearing shoes while also ensuring their comfort and well-being.
