Meet Peaches!

Show name: Fancy Like
Barn name: Peaches
Age: 16 (ish)
Breed: Heinz 57 of ponies - likely Shetland or mini cross of some variety.
Height: 11.2 hands
Color: Silver Bay

Peaches is our tiny but mighty pony! She may be small in stature, but she has big things to do! She is a great part of our lesson and summer camp program. She also attends many horse shows with our students, and draws attention wherever she goes. She’s the perfect size for our smaller riders to do everything themselves, and is happy to do the first lesson through cross rails job.

About Diva!
Diva is full of personality and lives up to her name. She is our perfect step up for our riders coming off of our sweet Dolly girl! Diva helps us with everything from the walk trot lunge line, learn to canter, through jumping 2’ lessons. Diva has also cross country schooled and done some mini trials! Many of our students, as well as miss Lizzies son Chase, have shown Diva in a variety of classes. Diva is very well decorated with ribbons and trophies galore. While she can have some red pony mare sass, she teaches our riders so much!

Looking for something fun to do over Christmas break? What about a great experience gift for your hard to shop for child?

Join us here at Hunter Spring Farm for one, two, or all three days of horsey fun!

Each day is a different theme for our crafts, which will be made in the heated lounge area.

Everyone will have the opportunity to ride, care for, and love on our horses and ponies each day. No prior riding experience required, but riders with experience are welcome as well.

Saturday Horse Spotlight!

Today we’re featuring the horse who has been so many things… meet Elliot!

Registered Name: Sky Blue Hunter
Barn Name: Elliot
Breed: Appendix Quarter Horse
Age: 21
Color: Grey
Height: 17.1 hands

Elliot has been so many things since we brought him to the farm in 2013. He and Miss Lizzie have competed in all around events including Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Working Hunter, Hunter Hack, Showmanship, Trail, Horsemanship, Western Pleasure, and when miss Lizzie first wanted to try 3 day eventing, Elliot stepped up for that too! They’ve competed at the All American Quarter Horse Congress together, and shown all over the country.

Elliot also carried Chase through leadline, and has retired to the role of cherished lesson horse teaching kids and adults alike. He’s the tallest horse on the farm!

Elliot can also be credited for Miss Lizzie re meeting her now husband, Blaine! Elliot was an honored guest at their wedding.

First up is the backbone of our program - Dolly!

Age: 36 (yes, that’s right!)
Height: 12.2 hands
Color: Bay

About Dolly- Dolly has lived at Hunter Spring Farm since 2005. In her youth, she showed in everything from showmanship, to over fences classes, under saddle, equitation, and even pony driving! Now that she is older, Dolly enjoys showing our beginners the ropes. She is the perfect walk/trot pony and always gives her friends a safe and confident ride. Don’t tell her she’s retired, though - she takes offense to that! She loves being part of the program and spending time with her young rider friends. She even still attends a handful of shows per year, always giving a nervous new shower a confident ride. Her riders come out of the show ring with smiles, and usually some ribbons, too! Dolly has also been disguised as a unicorn for photo shoots, done birthday parties, and is one of the stars of our summer camp program!
