Uh oh! Whats-his-name sez I’ve “schlipped”from 1st to 4th place! That can’t be good! He also sez that " PAWS is the nonprofit beneficiary of funds raised by Colossal through the America’s Favorite Pet Competition. This is an annual competition where participants enlist the help of their family, friends, and followers to cast online votes for their beloved furry (and some not-so-furry) friends in the hopes of earning the grand prize—a feature on the cover of Modern Cat or Modern Dog and $10,000 each.

America’s Favorite Pet is operated as part of a fundraising campaign for DTCare, a United States 501(c)(3) public charity organization. Donations raised from Donation Votes cast during this competition go directly to DTCare, which will subsequently grant the donations (minus competition fees, variable costs, and a nominal percentage retained by DTCare) to PAWS at the end of the competition. The donation will support PAWS’ mission to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats.

“We are beyond thrilled to have PAWS as our partner for one of Colossal’s flagship competitions and a personal favorite of mine,” said Colossal CEO Mary Hagen. “The hard work, commitment, and dedication they show to support and care for animals is nothing short of amazing.
