Today we saw a beautiful Piebald Veiled chameleon that wasn’t feeling well. 🌡️ 🤢
His owner found Dr. Walker on a chameleon Facebook group and came from 2 hours away to see her. She was able to help this sweet creature and assist his mom with his nutritional needs. ❤️
We are fortunate to offer exotic animal care 5 days a week and see all types of feathered, scaled, webbed and furry creatures! 🪶 🦜 🐍 🦎 🐱 🐶 🐢 🐹

It’s been a tough month at BVH.
We have had to say goodbye to two more of our beloved resident cats.
Apache came to us with her sister, Willow, after both her owners passed away, about 18 months ago. ❤️
Orca came to us 4 years ago from a shelter when her previous family could not provide surgery she desperately needed. ❤️
These cats have provided such comfort to staff and clients with their presence, they will be missed dearly.

Meet Lana Del Stray ❤️
Lana is a 2 year old spayed super star who is available for adoption through BVH 🌟 🐈
She seems to be good with cats, but not tested with dogs. She’s very laid back, cuddles, purrs non stop and makes the best biscuits!
She is up to date on her vaccines, spayed and combo tested negative. 💉

Dr. Courtney Walker has joined Bethel Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Walker has special interests in surgery, exotics, dentistry and behavioral medicine. When not tending to birds, reptiles and pocket pets at work she can be found gardening, doing home renovations and spending time with her 3 dogs, chinchilla, bearded dragon and chameleon.
Dr. Walker also brings to the practice her fluency in American Sign Language and her love for the people and Deaf culture, making our hospital Deaf friendly.
Dr. Walker enjoys taking time to teach clients about proper handling, behavior, feeding and care of their exotic pets, as well as dogs and cats. Dr. Walker has joined our practice on a part time basis, to schedule an appointment, call us at 203-794-0247.
Lets give her a big welcome to Bethel! We are so excited have to have her join the BVH family.

Today we said goodbye to one of our own. 😞
Willow joined the BVH family a year and a half ago with her sister, Apache. Both of their owners passed away in a short period of time leaving them homeless.
We cherished everyday we had with Willow and will miss her silly, loving and incredible personality. ♥️
We are so fortunate to be able to help these elderly cats with complex medical problems in the time they have left. As hard as it is to lose them, they bring us so much joy and happiness in their “senior” years.

🐾We are excited to announce we are now offering 3 "late" nights for appointments. We will be open till 7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. ☀️🌙
🐾We will also be offering "early" appointments, starting at 8:20am on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. 🌺
🐾With more availability, we will be able to help take care of your pet's when you need us. 🫶
🐾We are continuing to take new patients at this time, as well as, offering "same day sick" visits for pets who need to be seen urgently.🐰🐹🐸🐭🐥🦆🦅🐍🐢

In an effort to provide more availability for appointments, we will be altering our schedule starting July 1st. We will be eliminating our Saturday appointments and extending our “late” night appointments till 7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Bethel Veterinary Hospital is excited to team up with Watertown Fire Department and donate life saving oxygen masks for pets. 🐶 🚒 When a fire broke out in town, all their masks needed to be replaced, after helping some 4 legged friends, and we happily stepped up to help. 👨🚒 When a fire happens, these masks can be used to deliver oxygen to animals exposed to smoke and fire. 🔥 🐈 🐕 👨🚒

Today we had our internal medicine specialist, Dr. Dianne Kittrell, here to perform abdominal ultrasounds. “Augie” was kind enough to show you how easy and non-invasive this very important scan can be. We are fortunate to be able to offer ultrasounds every week for our patients. 🐾
We are happy to report that Bella had her surgery and is recovering! ❤️ She is learning to get around on three legs now and hasn’t stopped purring for us. 🐾 We thank every one of you that has donated towards her care and wished her well. 😻
