🚨 URGENT: OPERATION SAVE PARKER 🚨

Parker is desperate for a home, whether it be a foster or adopter. After losing his foster, he's been stuck in boarding for a month—and he’s breaking down. 💔 The stress is overwhelming him, and he’s regressing fast.

He has a board & train program on the calendar for April 10th but we need somewhere for Parker to safely decompress beforehand and then after he completes his program in a few weeks.

This sweet 2-year-old, 55 lb. boxer/pit mix has spent over half his life in a kennel. Now, he’s losing hope. 😢 These photos were taken two weeks ago before he started to breakdown. He was so happy and full of life. We need to get him into a loving, patient foster home immediately so he can decompress and remember what it’s like to just be a dog.

Meet Parker:
🐶 Lovable & Resilient – He forms strong bonds quickly and thrives in a home environment
🎾 Active & Fun – Loves to run, zoom, and play! He’s an adventure buddy at heart
🏡 House & Crate Trained – Knows his basics but needs continued guidance
🐕 Best as Your One & Only – He did well with dogs in the shelter but needs slow introductions and as of right now, needs to be your only pet
🚗 Great in the Car – Always up for a ride, just may need a boost
🌳 Fenced Yard Required – His high prey drive means he needs a secure space to run safely

Parker Needs:
✅ A patient, experienced foster or adopter who can help him feel safe
✅ A quiet home where he can decompress
✅ Someone willing to give him time to trust again and build his confidence

Class Descriptions
**All classes are 6 weeks long for 1 hour each week, unless otherwise noted**

AKC S.T.A.R Puppy
Basic skills and puppy problem solving, including potty training, socialization, mouthing/biting and more.

Adult Beginner Level 1
For Dogs over 6 months with little to no training. Includes Sit, Down, Stay, Come, leash walking, problem solving and more.

Adult Beginner Level 2
For graduates of AKC S.T.A.R Puppy, Adult Beginner Obedience Level 1 or similar. Includes Heel, turns, place, stay with distractions and distance and more.

Advanced Obedience CGC
Includes Canine Good Citizen test in week 6.
Polish up on heel, turns, about turns, polite greeting and everything needed to accomplish the CGC title.

AKC Trick Dog
In this fun and engaging class, you will learn tricks to accomplish the AKC Trick Dog title in week 5.

Note: Aggressive dogs will not be permitted in class, no refunds for missed classes, classes are held outside and are weather permitting.

Meet Large Marge – A Sweet Senior Cat Looking for a Loving Home

Marge is a sweet, senior cat who is in need of love and care after a difficult time. She has been residing at Bethel Animal Control since January 2025.

Background: Large Marge was previously owned by an elderly couple. Sadly, the wife passed away last year, and the husband passed away this January. There is no immediate family available, and unfortunately, no family contact has been made in over 20 years.

We don't have a lot of history on Marge, but here's what we know:
• Name: Large Marge
• Age: Estimated 10+ years old
• Health: Up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies.
• Personality: Marge is nervous in new situations but qu**ky warms up with some chin scratches. She is very affectionate and drools when given lots of love.

If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, sweet senior cat, Marge may be the perfect fit! A calm home where she can settle into a new routine would be ideal.

Meet Lana Del Stray ❤️ Lana is a 2 year old spayed super star who is available for adoption through BVH 🌟 🐈 She seems to be good with cats, but not tested with dogs. She’s very laid back, cuddles, purrs non stop and makes the best biscuits! Bethel Veterinary Hospital is excited to team up with Watertown Fire Department and donate life saving oxygen masks for pets. 🐶 🚒 When a fire broke out in town, all their masks needed to be replaced, after helping some 4 legged friends, and we happily stepped up to help. 👨‍🚒 When a fire happens, these masks can be used to deliver oxygen to animals exposed to smoke and fire. 🔥 🐈 🐕 👨‍🚒
