We proudly offer one of the lowest prices you will find anywhere for professional dog boarding.

Over the past 17 years, our price has risen from $10 per day to our current rate of $15 per day. After the first of the year 2022, the price will rise incrementally to $20 per day, per dog. As of January 1, 2022, the rate will be $17. Then on June 1, 2022, it will be fixed at $20. Any reservations made before January 1, 2022 will be booked at our current rate of $15 per day, per dog.

We are so excited to announce that we passed our final state inspection on the addition. We have added some much needed capacity for the busy season. I would like to thank all of those who helped us throughout this lengthy process.
We are excited to see what the summer holds!

Our COVID-19 Response:

We are remaining open during this pandemic, and we are well-equipped to ensure you and your pet are as safe as possible. Because of our unique setup; large enclosures; outside access; and long-standing sanitization policies, we are the safest boarding facility for your pet.

-We are owner-operated and have no employees.

-We never mix pets from different households.

-Because we operate by appointment, we can control your exposure to other customers. Contact-less drop-off and pick up are also available upon request.

-We have always disinfected each enclosure with hospital-grade disinfectant between each guest.

-We have indoor/outdoor runs with three-foot isolation panels between each pet on the indoor portion.

-Our buildings are well ventilated with industrial-grade ventilation fans.

-We are a large facility with a country setting.

-We are equipped with hand sanitizer and masks.

-We remain affordable for all customers in this time of uncertainty.

Hidden Meadow Boarding Kennel is open, and we are now on Facebook!

Hidden Meadow Boarding Kennel is owned and operated by Susanne and Alan Bretz. Our facility offers a quiet country setting that is just 15 minutes away from St. Clairsville, Ohio. We are open all 365 days of the year and we accept appointments any time between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

We offer our services for one low price regardless of any pet's size, breed or special needs. There are no hidden charges. (See Pricing below). We always charge for the day you check in, but not for the final day if you pick up your pet before noon. Day care is also available during normal business hours.

We are focused on cleanliness, safety, security, and pet wellbeing. Our facility is set up to make your pet's stay as comfortable and stress free as possible. Each pet is entitled to his or her own large, indoor/outdoor enclosure. Large enclosures enable our clients to bring and and all amenities from home to make their pet’s stay as comfortable as possible. Even our smallest individual runs are fourteen feet long by four feet wide and can accommodate multiple pets from the same family. Pets that are used to living together can still have plenty of room.

Our buildings are heated and air conditioned to ensure every pet is comfortable year round. In addition to our indoor/outdoor runs, we allow each pet private access to our large exercise yards at least four times daily, which works out to be just about every three to four hours. No pets are ever given physical access to any other pets not of their own family.

There are only two requirements for boarding--the first is that your pet's vaccinations are up to date ( we strongly recommend the bordetella vaccine) and the second is that you provide their food. It is important to keep each pet on their regular diet.
