Hunter, our last Colorado Mountain Dog pup from litter ASR023LITG2, is growing into such a watchful, attentive dog. While his siblings would wrestle, he would take a break to come sit with us on the lawn while we read books and he got some belly rubs. His favorite place to take a nap has become right by our front door,where he can monitor whose coming and going. He is the first to arrive on the scene when my 3 year old gets hurt. Hunter is going to be an amazing new family member, feel free to reach out!

It has been a fun summer raising and playing with 9 puppies from our Colorado Mountain Dog litter ASR023LIT1G2, but fall is approaching and we have said goodbye to all our cute puff balls except for Hunter. We have prayed for them to all find good homes full of love; and our prayers are almost completely answered! These puppies have been a joy and we are starting to feel like empty nesters, ha!

ASR Gabrielle, the mama of our Colorado Mountain Dog litter ASR023LIT1G2, loves to watch over our property from the top of this hill. Hunter is following his mama’s example, what a smart boy! It can be a challenge trying to get a full body shot of just Columbus, our Colorado Mountain Dog pup from litter ASR023LIT1G2. He just wants to cuddle sooo much that he could careless about posing for my pictures! Ha! He just wants to look into our eyes with the biggest puppy eyes you’ve ever seen and snuggle! He has such a tender heart!

I feel like he would make a great service dog because of the way he just wants to be near. He is extremely attentive and eager to please. Everybody meet Columbus, one of the last 2 male pups from our Colorado Mountain Dog litter ASR023LIT1G2. He is a very gentle and sweet little guy, who is always ready for belly rubs as you can see! He not only loves his cuddles, but does also love to be active and play. He is a great mix of softhearted and fun. Hope to hear from you!

Puppy cuddles with our Colorado Mountain Dog litter ASR023LIT1G2 who are now 12 weeks old. They are cute puff balls! CMDs are such a versatile breed because they are both animal and people friendly. Not big barkers or wild and hyper. Even with no training at all, they would be great dogs because of their awesome instincts. Hope to hear from you!

Here is a picture from a friend who has a Colorado Mountain Dog named Hudson. He has his head so sweetly placed in the lap of their 33 year old daughter with special needs. I am so impressed with how adaptable this breed is: they make wonderful livestock guardians on farms, great family pets, and amazingly gentle service dogs. Hudson is the sibling of my dog, ASR Gabrielle, mama to our litter ASR023LIT1G2. Our daddy dog, IJR Blanco, also has siblings that became service dogs. Our kids have had such a blast with these Colorado Mountain Dog pups from litter ASR023LIT1G2. They are so sweet with their puppy kisses and cuddles. I just love Colorado Mountain Dogs! Here is ASR Gabrielle walking down the trail with my 3 year old. Gabrielle is so patient with her and never pulls her around. Gabrielle goes on hikes with us every time we go because I know her bark alone will keep us safe from the bears or mountain lions in the area. She is so watchful of our family from the oldest to the youngest, sitting and waiting patiently for the slowest of us to catch up. I have had dogs that would be similar with lots of training, but it was all natural instinct for Gabrielle. Such an amazing breed! Her puppies from litter ASR023G2LIT1 will be even better! We get asked what types of animals are our dogs good with? you name it, they are good with poultry, goats, sheep, cows, horses and more! We have known many generations on every side of this current litter and they've all done wonderfully with all livestock. We’ve also had some of our dogs become service dogs or loyal family pets. So excited for how amazingly cute and smart this current litter is! Hope to hear from you!

Take a look at all of the animals our dogs have guarded over the years. Our current litter has an amazing legacy! The last picture is of their great grandma ten years ago guarding one of her girls. We love that we know this line and these dogs so well. We know everything about their grandparents on both sides and that says a lot! We don't just DNA test, but we have living proof and experience as to the health and temperament of every dog behind our pups. Now that is hard to find! And what a joy we have had throughout those years. This is the last litter though. We hope to hear from you!

Here’s a flash back of our daddy Colorado Mountain Dog, IJR Blanco, who had litter ASR023G2LIT1 with ASR Gabrielle ( who is the puppy in this picture). I remember wondering how he would react to us introducing a new puppy to the farm, but as you can see by the smile on his face, he loved her from day one. He was so gentle with her as they played. I love how discerning this breed is. The neighbors had a few dogs that would come over and play, including a little Corgi! Blanco and Gabrielle would welcome them with play bows and even share their food. My husband and I were starting to wonder what kind of guardians they would be if we had an aggressive animal come by. Would they do anything? We found out one day when a random dog, we had never seen before, came by and started growling at my husband. Blanco chased him off the property so fast and we never saw him again. We were amazed! We know this litter of puppies will be just as awesome! We have 3, 1 girl and 2 boys who are 10 weeks old. We are saying goodbye to our sweet Colorado Mountain Dog pups from litter ASR023G2LIT1 this weekend. We love them and are praying for them to be a blessing to their new families just like their parents IJR Blanco and ASR Gabrielle have been to us! Meet Starfly from Colorado Mountain Dog litter ASR023G2LIT1. She is so beautiful, just a very pretty girl! But she’s not all looks, she is also the smartest one in the bunch! Her temperament is easy going, definitely the calmest one of the girls. Truly a unique beauty. She will make a wonderful companion. We have only a few left of IJR Blanco and ASR Gabrielle’s pups. Love these darling puppies! They all were fascinated by the different sounds I was making. They had their first vet visit today at 9 weeks old and handled the whole experience without any complaints. Happy and healthy. The vet said she had not seen such calm puppies and could tell they were very social with people. We’re so blessed by these little ones from litter ASR023G2LIT1 from parents ASR Gabrielle and IJR Blanco. We still have a few left, feel free to setup a time to visit.

Can’t believe they are already 8 weeks old and will be leaving to live with their new families next week! I choose to get Colorado Mountain Dogs to look after my kids while they play outside. This 6 week old pup is “helping” my son dig up dirt to put in his Tonka truck! I love how friendly this breed is with my kids AND I never have to worry about the kids being outside because I know my dogs will protect them from bears, mountain lions and rattlesnakes.
