FACTUAL INFORMATION RELATED TO THE MALICIOUS ADS ON FACEBOOK:

Sunday, May 12, Dr. Carolyn Woodruff agreed to see the patient on emergency to provide euthanasia as requested by the owner as he was "suffocating and can't breathe". After 3 hours of waiting to hear, Dr. Woodruff attempted to reach the owner but was unable to contact her.
Monday, May 13, an appointment was made to euthanize the patient near closing time. Shortly before the appointment a call was received that they would be a little late. Staff attempted to contact the number after hours but the call would not go through to the number. Staff remained at the clinic for over an additional hour but none came or called.
Tuesday, May 14, around 7:30 pm, about 28 hours after their scheduled appointment, the family arrived at the vet clinic with their dog without any notice, expecting to receive services, without adequate funds to pay the emergency fee. Conversations were held by both Dr. Woodruff and Dr. Mathew O'Neil with 2 family members. In the last conversation the request suddenly changed from euthanasia to a request to obtain a pain medication which we do not carry that the owner claimed worked wonderfully for the dog previously so she would not require euthanasia. Dr. O'Neil may have misunderstood the intent of this request since it was at odds with all previous communications.

AT NO TIME DID DR MORGAN DALLMAN HAVE ANY CONTACTS WITH THIS CLIENT OR EVER SEE THIS PATIENT

It is unfortunate that veterinarians find it necessary to counter abusive Facebook posts and to refuse services to clients who take advantage of their compassion, dedication and respect for others.

We request that any of you who are members of a group with these malicious ads posted take a moments time to report them as inappropriate to the admin so that they are taken down. This can usually be done by clicking on the three dots in the upper right hand corner.

It is with a heavy heart the we have heard the news of the passing of our long time friend and employee, Barb Kusmenko. Her courageous battle with brain cancer is over and she is at peace. We remember the years that she provided the clinic with her dedicated expertise as the face at the front desk keeping everything running smoothly and caring for the clients needs. On every birthday Barb showed up with a cake and every holiday she had some decorations up to make it more festive. Her loss leaves a void that no other can fill. We share the sorrow of her family and extend our sincere condolences.

Beginning Nov. 1st we will be charging a credit card usage fee of 4%. The cost to the merchant of accepting cards has risen so much that this is necessary to be fair to the clients who pay with cash or checks.

Dr. Matt is taking appointments. We also have two new assistants, Echo and Betsy, but could still use another one. Thanks for everyone's patience! Dr. Woodruff should be out of the hospital and back to work this week also so we hope to be getting back to a more normal routine.
