Charlie went on a little adventure yesterday! We received 3 heaping carts of donated food from Tractor Supply Co. Benzonia, and Charlie got cuddles from Manager Jon!
Thank you Manager Jon & TSC!!! We so appreciate you!!!
Then we stopped by the Cherry Bowl Drive-In to see Eric and Karen Salyer , and get more cuddles!
Every outing helps Charlie become more socialized, so he can be an even happier boy!
We recycle and reuse here - until things are plum wore out!
This little square stuffie has survived 9 weeks of puppy abuse from Ruby’s babies, and now Charlie gets a crack at it!

Charlie did great with his neuter surgery, thank you to all our friends at Platte Lake Veterinary Clinic for taking such good care of our little boy!
Now we’re off to get Charlie home, get him a little snack & hopefully a long nap!
Is it awful that I’m considering keeping him for myself? Ugh! He’s so cute and so sweet and so loving….
It’s gonna be a hard call….
Charlie is trying out the neck pillow, and he’s ok with it!
The “Donut” will be easier for him than a cone, & following his neuter surgery tomorrow he’ll be sporting this look for a few days!
Oliver is at Oakwood Veterinary Hospital, getting all the good stuff done, and the first good news is that he has lost 7 pounds!
Now - if only someone could control MY food the way I’ve had to do for him, we’d both be in better shape!🤣
Charlie got a new harness today, and I bought a neck pillow for his after neuter recovery…. So far the harness is not a bother, we’ll try the neck pillow tomorrow!

Charlie is here as a foster from Grand Traverse County Animal Control.
Charlie is a Boarder Terrier/Chihuahua and is approximately 8 months old, and weighs just 8 pounds. He’s pretty much fully grown!
Charlie will be neutered next week Thursday, and after his 10 day recovery is over, he’ll be getting his final booster vaccinations, then he will be ready for a forever home.
Charlie is dog selective (no idea on cats!), and has not done well with small children. He also has strong separation anxiety, so we’ll be looking for a retired person, or a stay at home person.
Charlie is not social, he is very nervous around new people, but with patience and time he fully warms up to people.
Charlie is potty trained, crate trained, and leash trained, and loves to go for car rides.
Charlie is super sweet, he just needs the right person to give him time to shine.

Ollie absolutely loves the steak 🥩 and potato 🥔 flavored chew “bone”, and it’s a “treat” he can have!!! He has not left it alone since this afternoon!
And thank you for the cash too, that’ll pay for all of the urinalysis test and a little left over for his blood test! You are AMAZING to these rescues, and we adore you so much for caring!!!
