As of today, I have completed all Rush Orders as well as all orders placed prior to November 1st. This has put me a few days ahead of schedule, which means I will continue working through the queue until December 1st. Some of you will be receiving your orders earlier than anticipated and, happily, in time for the holidays.

I was originally planning to keep this year’s Black Friday Sale BioThane-only, but your feedback changed my mind.

So here’s where we landed:
*The entire site will be 20% off, limited to the first 50 orders* so I don’t overload our 6-12 week queue (especially with my surgery and recovery coming up). I want to be honest about what I can take on, and I want to deliver work you’re proud to put on your pets.

Work is chugging along and I am making good progress on getting all orders placed by November 1st completed and shipped by the end of this month, if not sooner. 📆

🎁 I am being really cognizant to not overwhelm myself as my surgery date approaches, so I am thinking of doing our holiday sale this week and it will likely be for BioThane goods only. Note that any orders placed are *not* guaranteed to arrive for holiday delivery (see our pinned post for details why). I have a very limited number of Rush Order upgrades available if you need something ASAP, but they are going fast.

I special ordered these 1/2” round Mother of Pearl cabochons hoping they may become a permanent part of our collection. Unfortunately, they will not be as our manufacturer has recently announced that they are unable to produce any more. What remains of my small stash is being offered to you on a first come, first-served basis.

🐚 Pair them with our Dazzle, Ophelia, Oscar or Artemis collars to let their quiet light speak. These are special pieces and I’d love to see someone use them in an intentional design before I inevitably end up keeping them for myself.

🤘🖤🦇 Happy Halloween — the best holiday of them all.

FYI I’ll be retiring our “spooky” tags (Ouija, Bats, and Snake) in November. You’ll be able to snag them again next September. 👻

Also, final reminder that today is the last day to order to ensure your order will ship by December 1st for the holidays. While Sloppy Chops will remain open and continue to accept orders during the month of December, production times will increase as I will not be physically in the shop as I prepare for my upcoming surgery and recovery. ❤️‍🩹

Last year, our Burgundy leather made its debut as a Limited Edition, and you loved it. So much so that it’s now here to stay.

For its permanent spot in the lineup, we made one subtle change: our burgundy leather now comes from the same tannery that produces our black latigo, our most popular and beloved leather. The new finish feels a touch less formal, a touch more wearable and perfect for every day use without losing any of its richness or depth.

While we’re talking leather, a quick heads up: Eggplant, Olive, and Grey English Bridal are all nearly sold out. These will not be restocked, and our Navy Leather is already gone, so if you’ve had your eyes on one of these colors now is the time.

And one more important note: the holiday order deadline for guaranteed shipment by December 1 is October 31st — just two days away! Starting in November, production timelines will be extended as I prepare for my upcoming surgery and recovery, so please don’t wait to get your order in.

🌾 The golden hues of autumn always make me want to slow down a little, but it’s actually the time when everything speeds up for me as a small business.

While most of the world leans into fast shipping and instant everything, this season reminds me of thoughtful gifting and why handmade still matters.

Every piece of ours is made-to-order and starts on the workbench as a raw material and becomes something meaningful through time, care and intention. It’s not about how quickly it ships, but about the story it carries when it arrives.
