Our cat fosters are full😿. With these cold temps cats and kittens are popping up everywhere. If you have been considering adopting or fostering NOW is the time! We have so many ready for homes. Whether you are looking for kittens, young adults, or older, we have you covered! And coincidentally it is also NATIONAL MUTT DAY!!!

We have some major Vet bills to cover this month for new intakes, along with 61 current fosters to feed and care for which is running about $6k a month for our tiny little rescue.

Every Giving Tuesday we have a local donor that will match our donations, please help us make this our best year yet!! There are so many more animals out there to save from this bitter cold, and so much needless suffering we can't help without the generosity and kindness of our fellow animal lovers. Every rescue is stretched thin, financially and emotionally. We need fosters, donations, and support to make a difference in saving lives.

Since its too cold to venture out to play we had a full grooming day instead, the puppies loved their nice warm bubble baths, blow dry and nail trims getting ready for some meet n greets with adopters this week! Lots of puppies are left and in need of homes, and so many less fortunate still waiting to be saved. Can you even imagine if these helpless little stray souls were out in this cold, no shelter, food or water? Please consider adopting, by doing so your saving two lives, the one you take and the one it makes room for to be saved.

Very tame, sweet cat showed up at a farm south of Hazen, please let us know if you recognize it. Its safe for tonight but we don't have a foster available to take it so PLEASE SHARE

Happy Thanksgiving all!! These just might be the most plump turkeys of the season!

There has been lots of interest in this bunch already so without further adu they are ready for applications and will be set to wobble on their way soon!! They are 8 week old Lab mixes, mom was an absolutely beautiful mixed breed that was left on a farm tied to a tree. And thankfully it was some very good souls who lived there and are keeping her and getting her spayed, they were quite surprised when they found out she was carrying 13 puppies 🫣 but nonetheless they had a very soft cozy spot to land and have been well cared for. They joined us last week and have all been started on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed and are very social, sweet, typical fun loving pups! All females except for Mason, poor guy stuck with all those sisters!!

Time for official introductions 🐾😍

One of our new litters is ready to start heading out the door soon! If you didn't see their original intake post they are a mixed breed bunch, mom is a medium size German Shepherd mix and Dad is unknown. We have 5 females and 2 males still available. These are some very mellow pups with the sweetest demeanor possible. They just want snuggles and will sit in your lap for the longest time, unless they see kids then that's where they will be! 🥰

Adoption fees include Vet exam, first vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick treatment, microchip and snap certificate to be used towards spay/neuter when they are old enough. They are estimated to be around 8-9 weeks now.

Elliot is added in too because even after all the interest on his own post he didn't receive any apps 💔 and he is READY for a home! We love and appreciate all the attention these cuties always get, if you are "possibly " interested in adopting send us a DM! If you want to meet them or are ready to add one to your home the application is on our website www.coalcountryanimalrescue.org!

Update: owner has been located and openly admitted to dumping the dog a month ago. A report will be filed with the sheriff's dept. Dog has been caught by home where he was found and is safe.

Anyone between east of Stanton and north of Center recognize this dog? Its been roaming a few farm yards in the area for a few days at least, very skittish

We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit pet rescue in Mercer County, North Dakota serving much of the central Dakota areas. We have rescued and placed almost 300 homeless dogs and cats since 2012.
