North East Cape Fear German Shepherd Dogs We are a small family owned & operated kennels that breeds and raises German Shepherd Dogs. We bred Golden and Chesapeake Bay Retriever since the early 1990's.

My name is Ryan Strickland and my wife Anita and I fell in love with a white dog, "Ziva" we got for her several years ago. I found an older male "Yoda" and brought him home and we talked it over and decided to branch out Strickland's Kennels into NE Cape Fear GSD. Strickland's Kennels was a working retriever kennels that bred, raised, trained, and hunt tested retrievers for years. I still train a

retriever every so often for myself as a hunting dog or for a special client. We've been breeding and raising dogs since 1993.

This girl here is Rhea. She is a five year old black & Tan German Shepherd. We are looking to find her a retirement home as we are not planning on breeding her anymore. She's got plenty of life left yet to live and we want to place her in a home where she can be an inside house dog, sleep on comfy dog beds, your couches, chairs, or your bed whatever you allow her to do. She is very sweet natured with people, she got along well with kids that have visited our kennels. Not sure how she would do with small dogs, cats, chickens, or any other small animals as she has not been exposed to them here at Northeast Cape Fear German Shepherd Dogs. She will need to be spayed and she needs brushing up on her obedience training. She is crate trained and has a good recall. She does get along well with most of the other dogs here at our kennels but as with any dog supervision is required. We will require a re-homing fee but we are mainly concerned with placing her with the right folks. An extra note for anyone that is a nay sayer against us. If we cannot find the right home for her she will live out the reminder of her life here with us. Rhea has done a wonderful job here for us and we want to do right by her. Here's a Chigger update. The video is a little dated back on December 4th. But she doing well and growing, but at 4 months old she just 20 pounds. But she thinks she is 200lbs!
