Deity Animal Rescue and Foundation

Deity Animal Rescue and Foundation Deity Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit rescue organization based in Los Angeles. Dogs saved her so it’s only right that she save dogs.

It is our passion and mission to rescue, rehabilitate and place stray, neglected and shelter dogs into loving, responsible and committed homes. When bringing dogs into Deity we do not discriminate on age, breed or ease of placement. Rather, we choose dogs based on temperament and potential to be wonderful companions. We adhere to a comprehensive adoption process which includes finding the best pos

sible match for each dog and performing home checks. Our mission is to educate and empower people of all ages as to how they can make a difference in the lives of animals in their communities. We target the importance of pet sterilization, animal welfare, and why it is a good idea to adopt from a shelter or rescue rather than buy from a breeder.

Ellen rescued Vida, the first official Deity dog, in 2007. Lindsay joined Ellen in her efforts when a major health scare made her reevaluate life and the gift of health and happiness. Dogs served a key roll in her recovery and she strives to share the healing power of dogs with others.

Wanted to update you guys on Hanna. Our precious East Valley girl is doing well in her foster home. Having this time with Bailey to decompress has been essential for her. She has come out of her shell so much in such a short time. She definitely still needs a minute to warm up to new friends, but with a little time, patience and respect she will glow.

We keep telling her that her Forever Home is out there. She keeps telling us that she’s gonna keep waiting so gratefully and patiently. Hanna is a precious gem and the very reason we do this work. The world is such a better place with her in it.

Here’s where we need you. The ask is simple. Please drop a 🩷 for Hanna. It is your comments and interactions that will get her seen over the algorithm. We need all eyes on our girl, because hopefully, her future true love will see her. You guys are her superpower.

Hanna is 3 years old, 50ish pounds, was spayed through Ready To Go Home program, is up to date with all of her vaccines, has the sweetest manners and LOVES OTHER DOGS.

First 48 hours in the new foster life of a boy who spent the last five weeks in a tiny cell. The carousel of videos of Psudeo - now Dylan, who spent - and I truly don’t use this word - like ever - is pretty much pure pawfection.
1. Dog friendly ✅
2. Fine around food and other dogs ✅
3. Walks well on a leash and loves his walkies, even controllable when a 🐿️ taunts him ✅
4. Takes the role of big brother to alllll the annoying puppies very sweetly and seriously ✅
5. Is his own entertainment unit as shown by his solo pool time and toy time ✅
6. Loves love from all sizes of humans ✅
7. Plays hard, crashes harder ✅
8. Wears his gratitude on the same white sleeves that just a few weeks ago were torn up and painful ✅
9. Brings Joy and Light to wherever he is ✅
10. Makes the heart pitter patter in a way that moves your soul ✅

Ok, stopping there because here I go again getting all sappy over him. Enough already. 🙄

But seriously you guys. Potential adopters, here’s your boy.

Dylan is 1.5 years old and fifty pounds. OBSESSED

Which video is your fave? Be sure to turn the sound up because talking to him is everything. Drop a ♥️ and let us know, and let the world know too. Because your comments and interactions hold the key to his being seen and adopted.

Also, Karla, THANK YOU for saying YES.

His name is Wellington but we call him Welly for short. He’s a sweet senior gentleman who is truly one of those souls who is just happy - and grateful - to have a little love and a roof over his head.

Welly is looking for his Forever Best Friend. He’s an eleven pound Yorkie who is dog friendly, potty trained and kinda just all around pawsome.

Please drop a ♥️ for our boy and get him seen out in the world. You guys are his secret weapon. And can we get another 🩷 for baby Cossette? 🤭🥰😍

74 cats spayed and neutered at today’s clinic powered by and . It was a mix of cats and kittens from owners, rescues and the TNR of ferals.

Here comes the math nobody wants:
- Over 5 years, one female could directly give birth to 40–90 kittens.
• In just 7 years, 1 cat and her offspring can produce 20,000–420,000 cats (depending on survival rates).
• A conservative shelter estimate for 5 years is several thousand descendants from just one unspayed cat.

- Now scale to 74 cats
• If we only count direct offspring (no descendants reproducing):
• 74 × 40 = ~2,960 kittens (low end)
• 74 × 90 = ~6,660 kittens (high end)
• If we include offspring reproducing as well, the numbers skyrocket:
• Even at a low survival/reproduction rate, you’d still be looking at tens of thousands of cats in 5 years.
• At the higher end, it could easily reach hundreds of thousands.

So we can say that today hundreds of thousands of lives were prevented. Prevented from possibly dying on our streets or being euthanized in our overcrowded shelters.

It was a good day. ☀️

Swipe to see the one-week-old kittens Dr. Silverman intercepted and took home when they were just a day old. She’s been bottle feeding them around the clock and fostering them at home. Hero. Rockstar. The kitties will be available for adoption in a few weeks.

This is the therapy we didn’t know we needed. Impact at a bird’s eye level while holding them in your arms as they wake up from surgery whispering “I love you” in their ear. Sign me up. Every day. ♥️

To the Team at CATC who works tirelessly. Thank you.

Over the years we have had countless dogs join the rescue who needed encouragement to become their best selves. Perhaps they never had the structure, the leadership, or the feeling of safety to confidently present themselves to the world, or thrive in a setting they aren’t used to. When these scenarios came up, we could always rely on trusted ! And every time, they paved the path to peace, happiness and success for the dogs who got to spend time training with them.

And now, everyone can work with because they just launched their ONLINE training program that covers everything from welcoming a new dog or puppy into your home and building a strong relation with your dog, to leash work and enrichment. We have learned more from than we could ever have imagined and not just about dogs and behavior- but about life and human nature. Check out their new program if a pup in your life could brush up on skills or needs a fresh approach.

He’s a California kid rescued by a New York family who gave him the gift of Life. They named him Taz and took him home to the East Coast so that they could foster and find him a Forever Home. He has lived with them and their three other dogs for months now. He’s dog social with a proper intro, and he and his foster brother Bingo are best mates. Unfortunately the family’s other dogs aren’t fans, but the family has vowed to see this boy through, working hard to make everyone happy.

Their greatest wish is to find a loving family for this precious guy. They’ve even invested time and money into training, giving him the opportunity to be the bestest boy he possibly can be.

Courtesy Sharing Taz .tagram today to help him along his journey. We know his Forever Home is out there.

Guys, asking for your help too. Please drop a ♥️ for Taz in order to get him seen over Instagram’s oppressive algorithm situation. You are his secret weapon, his angels around the world. Taz is five-years-old and around 60 pounds. He’s currently located in NEW YORK CITY.

Juna has a family! A forever family!! And her first day was one to remember. She wants to introduce her to her new brother, Haven. They love to go on walks, play, go on car rides and hang with their mom and dad.

Juna is the best girl. She is so deserving of this kind of forever love and we cannot be more excited for her that she found it. Her face says it all…. She’s home.

This guy. This 12 year old cutie patootie Yorkie mix fella with the floppy ears and the dangly little tongue. Wellington (Welly for short) is an all around good pal. He loves to go on walks and be silly, or lay on the couch and be silly, or hang with other dogs and be silly. As long as he can be silly, he’s into it. He needs a friend around to be silly with. Welly is looking for a home with another pup and lots of love- oh, and soft food cause he doesn’t have any teeth 😁

And yes, before you ask, he’s really this cute (even cuter if I dare say so) in person. You can apply to adopt Wellington at the link in our bio.
