Wrapping up a great summer with the interns! Intern Cooper Rathbun did the typical kennel work and researched solar power possibilities for the kennel and barn. Cooper’s preliminary research was a good start for this project as it is an ongoing project. Intern Nick Koster is a repeat intern familiar with the daily tasks of a working kennel. He also worked on controlling Old World Bluestem in CRP. His initial control method was positive, however this too is an ongoing project. Post graduate intern Avery Obermueller found her way back to Setter Dogs for a short term project of rehabbing the pond. The water level is low so she was able to mow cattails, cut willow trees and establish a water line from a well to keep the pond from going dry. Thank you Cooper, Nick and Avery! Your work at Setter Dogs was meaningful now and for the future!

We have hunted many seasons together and now you bring your son. You always wait until your son gets a bird, then and only then you hunt for your bird. Congrats on another super gobbler!

After working at Setter Dogs, both ladies earned Bachelor's degrees and more recently earned their Master's degrees! Congratulations Mikayla Breneman and Allison Crist! I'm incredibly proud of you. Wishing you much success in the future!
