NEW PROGRAM ALERT!

Is there a more dynamic duo than yarn and cats? Join us this winter for a friendly fiber-arts crafting club at Cape Ann Animal Aid! You’re invited to bring your current Work-In-Progress and decompress after school or work among the kitties at the Christopher Cutler Rich Animal Shelter. Sign up for any single one-hour session ($15) or save and sign up for all 4 ($50)! Your donation helps care for the shelter animals at 4 Paws Lane and gives you a little feline company while you stitch!

Please note: individuals must be working on a crafting project. Crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, felting, and other hand-held crafts are welcome. All individuals must bring their own project and supplies.

If you’d like to learn to crochet, we have some talented staff members ready to teach you! Simply bring a hook and some yarn and we will guide you through the basics. If you're not sure what you will need, let us know and we are happy to send you more information.

Send Warm, happy thoughts for Jackson and his owner. Jackson was adopted in August when his owners could no longer care for him. It seems this blind kitty will be passing soon due to heart disease. He brought joy to his owner every day as he navigated his new home without his sight. His coat was shiny and beautiful when I visited him recently. What a great life this kitty has had. Farewell Jackson.

Update: deworming was needed, their tummies will be happier now. One needs surgery for an umbilical hernia. They will receive the needed care.

Sonia trapped these littles at an ongoing wood pile colony situation. We have them and will take them to the vet before Cass and Bonnie C. start their taming work. Wish them luck!

Patty and Selma are looking for a new home for the new year! They have settled into a bedroom and are loving, cuddly and sleeping on the bed with their foster person. They are shy around strangers, but will do almost anything for a treat, so you can give them a treat multiple times a day and they will purr and rub on you until they go back to sleep. These kittens are trapped living in a wood pile. We have loving, experienced people to handle them while they learn how to not be afraid, hide or bite, and work on their social skills.

Mr. Tux is finally settled in a loving , dedicated home. His elderly owner could no longer keep him. We didn’t know he would develop irritable bowel disease at his quiet foster home causing him to vomit large amounts of food frequently.
His new owner, has had several elderly cats. She has anti-nausea pills in hand. He is sleeping with her after being there for a week, enjoying cuddles and a strict diet of select protein food. Happy holidays and welcome home for the holidays to Tux and his loving, patient owner. 🎄 🦃 🔔 ⛄️

They are available now at Copper Dog Books and Dog Spa and Sally’s hair care (across from nicks roast beef). $15 cash and check. Gifting season is here, thank you for helping the homeless animals. So little Winnie has been trying really hard to be good, but it is so hard! After a few months, her adopter has had enough of her antics. He was able to pet her with a stick and spend hours with her daily and saw improvements. We gave her a ride this morning to Salem MA Cat Aid who is willing to get the best out of her. Good luck to them and to Winnie.

One of FOBA’s volunteers and his family helped to transport a generous donation of dog items from Beverly’s Petco Unleashed’s store manager Francesca Ernst to the Salem NH Animal Rescue League, where they were much appreciated and will be put to good use.
We hope you will join us in celebrating the holiday spirit on behalf of all the animals and this inspirational story of giving, be that time or material. Thank you to all our donors and volunteers. We would not be able to help local animals without you.
