ATTENTION
a ground wasp nest has been reported at the dog park. It is located near the pipe by the shelter. Modern Pest services has been notified and will be coming to remediate as soon as possible. Please use caution around this area.

UPDATE
Modern pest will not be able to come out until Aug first at 10am. Please use caution until then. The park will need to be closed for a few hours after treatment....

ATTENTION DOG PARK USERS
Starting tomorrow at 8am, we will be closing the main entrance to the dog park. The small dog park area will temporarily be used as the entrance to the park. Unfortunately, this means that area will not be able to be utilized as small dogs only. We are working on a more permanent solution to this issue, and while this isn't ideal, it is the best solution we currently have. We will bring everything back to normal as soon as feasible, but this likely will go through the wet season. If you have any questions, please email [email protected] or call 590.1355

MUD UPDATE
As many are aware, there is a significant mud issue at the park with all of the warm weather this winter. On Saturday, we will be temporarily closing the muddy section of the park, sectioning off with snow fencing. During this time, the main entrance to the park will now go through the small dog area. Unfortunately, this means we might have to temporarily suspend use for small dogs only, but will update you on that decision and post signage. Not a perfect solution, but better than closing the park all together.
We will be starting to look into a more permanent solution on how to improve drainage on the hill, and looking at installing a second entrance at the top of the park If anyone has any, or know anyone who has any expertise in these issues, please have them reach out to [email protected]

ANNOUNCMENT
Dog Park & Disc Golf Course Closed from 8am-1pm on Saturday 10-29-22 during track meet. Other amenities may have limited access during this time frame as well.

***************DOG PARK CLOSED TOMORROW 8-12****************
Modern Pest Services will be at the park tomorrow morning taking care of a ground hornet nest. The Park will be closed from 8am until 12 tomorrow. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please be cautious if using the park today, as there is a ground hornet nest located near the "p**p fairy" banner by the small dog park .

!!!!HORNET ALERT!!!!

We have been ground hornet's nest located near the p**p fairy sign along the fence between the small and large dog park. Modern Pest Services has been called. We are hoping to get them out there today, but if not may have to make the decision to close the park until they can come. Will continue with updates as they come....Please be careful should you decide to visit

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED SUNDAY
Sunday morning at 9am, we will be moving the pile of wood chips from up in the snow dump to the muddy entrance of the park. We will have a atv and trailer, but will need help loading the trailer and spreading the chips when dumped....Please bring shovels/rakes if you can

We Need Your Help!!
Did you know the park is maintained by volunteers? Below is a list of projects we currently need help with at the park. If you are interested in helping any of these, please contact us here or [email protected] -207-590-1355

-Weedwacking/Spraying along the fence lines. (spray would be a mixture of salt, vinegar and dawn dish soap, no chemicals)

-Creating a solution for the underneath of the seating structure and shed. Either a barrier or fill

-Removing small trees/bushes that are growing through the fence towards the back of the park.

-Painting of structures

-We need someone who can help fix the bench

-Installing new fence ties throughout the park where they are falling off
