Meet Roy. He has been wandering Becker for many months now and finally got to safety last week. If he had been out there much longer, he certainly would have lost his eye which would have been the end of his life. Thankfully, we were able to step in to give him a chance to get healthy and safe so that suffering didn't have to be the end of his story. I did not know a horse could make you learn to forgive and forget.
I did not know a horse could humble you faster than you can say humble.
I did not know a horse could make you a winner.
I did not know a horse could also teach you how to lose gracefully.

This is what grief is.
A hole ripped through the very fabric of your being.
The hole eventually heals along the jagged edges that remain. It may even shrink in size.
But that hole will always be there.
A piece of you always missing.
For where there is deep grief, there was great love.
Don’t be ashamed of your grief.
Don’t judge it.
Don’t suppress it.
Don’t rush it.
Rather, acknowledge it.
Lean into it.
Listen to it.
Feel it.
Sit with it.
Sit with the pain. And remember the love.
This is where the healing will begin.

United We Shiver!!! We are hoping to have a great turn out again this year like last year! A team has been started and it would be awesome to have a ton of people there representing my nonprofit.
