Deciding what size dakota or ruffland to get your dog? Here is a size comparison!

The picture with the white ruffland is a large ruffland vs a large dakota. The photo with the blue ruffland is an xl ruffland vs a xl dakota. Sizing is overall comparable. The biggest difference being the dakota is square shaped giving overall more floor and ceiling space then the hexagon shape of the ruffland. The ceiling height in the dakota does slightly dip due to the built in handle. Another big difference between ruffland and dakota is the doors. Ruffland doors can easily open either direction and are made of a composite material. Whereas the Dakota is a wire/metal door that opens one way and comes with a locking door. The dakota door can be opened from the opposite direction if taken off and flipped.

Ari is a 55lb rottie/pittie mix that stands about 22" tall and is 23" from the base of the tail to the neck. For a dog of her size, a medium Dakota is what owner Kay would recommend she travel in.

Due to popular demand we have jumped on the ruffland train! We have both used ruffland and love them for little friends!

The Klimb platforms are also a great tool to have in your tool box! Great for teaching the place command (these come in Black, Blue, Purple, Desert Tan, and Lime Green)

These are Taylor’s Favorite, she loves that they don’t retain water like leather when you’re working in the rain, and the clip release sides are great for getting on and off with ease! The handle is also super comfortable! And her favorite is it doesn’t slide up onto the dogs neck, which has been a struggle with Styx.
