Today is Cat World Domination Day! We have some tips on how to make sure you stay safe when cats do take over the world.

1. The food bowl should always be full
2. Your cat is going to scratch the furniture, time to admit defeat
3. Snacks? All the time.
4. Like and follow every cat video you see
5. The counters actually belong to the cats. Too bad about the fur in the fresh fruit.

Good morning! Today is National Rescue Dog Day! We love all of our patients regardless, but can we see a picture (or two) of those beloved rescue dogs?

Pictured is one of our veterinary technician's pets. Harley was adopted this year by Sarah and her husband from Ruff Start Rescue. He is 8 years old and loves to hike!

The ticks are out but fear not! Your pet can be kept safe with proper prevention with oral flea and tick products, seresto collars or topical options. Have you picked up your prevention yet?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is warning that this year could be a brutal year for ticks in Minnesota and Wisconsin – thanks to a mild winter and a wet spring. Estimates are that, due to those factors, there are going to be 20-30 percent more ticks than usual this year because very few tick nymphs got killed off during the winter. The majority of ticks that carry Lyme disease are found in the Midwest and Northeast United States and almost half a million Lyme disease infections happen each year – some of which can cause serious long-term health issues. 🎯🎯🎯It's that time of the year again! 🪰Gnats 🪰 are out and about leaving these alarming red spots on our pets abdomens.
Fear not! 🦸‍♂️ 🦸‍♂️
These bites are just scary looking to us! 😱 For our pets, they can be itchy and annoying, but otherwise harmless. Usually these will resolve on their own or with the help of some Benadryl.
If your pet is continued to be bothered by these or they do not resolve within a few days, call us to be seen. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️
