Our Lula, a lab mix, was our first family dog. She was the sweetest dog we have ever had. But she was a bit lonely, so we adopted Big Boy. We were told he was a Husky mix but after having him examined we discovered he was a Greater Swiss Mountain/Lab mix. The pair was the best dogs a family could ask for. After an accidental litter, we found out that their puppies inherited their personality trait
s and were smart, loving, loyal and protective. Everyone loved our puppies so much we decided to dive into the world of making Swiss Mountain Labradors an official breed. For a few years we invested in female AKC Labs and a male AKC Greater Swiss Mountain. They’re puppies were papered with the designer breed registry and our name began to spread and people grew in love with our puppies. Everyone still loves our puppies! Our hearts were broken in 2020 when, due to tragic, unforeseen circumstance we lost our Swissy sire. Unable to embrace adopting another Swissy at that moment in time we have embraced breeding AKC Labradors. Some day our heart is to return to the goal of breeding Swiss Mountain Labradors and working towards getting them recognized by the AKC, but for now we are taking a detour while our hearts heal. We have 2 beautiful, intelligent, devoted AKC Lab girls. Our Chocolate: Brun Jente and our Black: Beauty. As well we have adopted our next Sire, a chocolate named David. And to complete our color profile we have welcomed into our family Flicka, a female yellow lab. We love our lab family and are excited to share our journey and our puppies with you. We are keeping our Swissy name and heritage by keeping our name: Swiss Mountain Labradors. We are excited about what the future holds and excited to meet you and pair you and your family with the perfect puppy.
