A message from Dr. G:

To all my furry friends and their owners:
I have made the difficult decision to leave Stone Hill Veterinary Clinic and transition full time to Animal Emergency Hospital in Grand Rapids.

I have enjoyed working with all of you during the past three years. I have met so many good people from the area and you all were so welcoming to me. Mostly, I will miss the relationships we've built together and seeing the little fuzzballs turn into big fuzzballs.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with each of you and your pets, it truly was a rewarding experience. Hopefully I won't have to see any of you down at the ER.

Sincerely,
Dr. Matt Grupido

Construction begins next week on Chippewa Lake Road. Please plan accordingly! πŸ¦ΊπŸš§πŸ›‘

FYI: Our friends at the Mecosta County Road Commission wanted to get the word out about a new project on 16 Mile Road.

It starts on Monday, July 10th.

Will go from the city limits to 180th Ave.

The road will be closed through traffic and a detour will be from 157th to M-20 to Colburn.

Work on this road includes milling, widening, and repaving. A bridge in that area will also get some maintenance.

The project is expected to take around 2 weeks.

There will be access to all residences and businesses during the closure.

08/24/2022

We have been busy fielding multiple calls regarding the Parvo-like virus that is being reported throughout Northern Michigan. At this time very little is known about this virus. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated dogs seem to be affected, and unfortunately the method of transmission and ways to prevent are still unknown. We do know that true Parvo virus is spread through direct contact and also through f***l matter, so for now, we would recommend avoiding dog parks or traveling with your pets. Please also be sure to clean up your pet’s waste when walking out in public. Symptoms of the illness include severe diarrhea, vomiting, and lethargy. If your dog is exhibiting these symptoms we would recommend contacting your veterinarian for treatment. As further information becomes available we will be sure to keep you updated.
