Please don't be alarmed, I am not sick... but I will be masking while I am with clients for the time being. Flu A (🤧🌡🦠) and Norovirus (🤮💩) have been running rampant in our region and I do not want to get sick, nor do I want to put anyone else in my life at risk who may be immunocompromised.

You are free to mask or not. But to be clear, I am not sick... I just don’t want to be. 😂

In case I haven't shared with everyone, this is the only place I purchase antlers from. Remember, heavy chewers and larger dogs should stay away from deer-they are very dense. Those are only appropriate for small dogs. Mine love elk and moose. But you can message him to ask about options for your dog, and he won't steer you wrong!🦌🫎

I get asked about potty training ALL the time. I also see folks using potty pads A LOT.

And don't get me wrong, they do have a place... tiny dogs with owners with mobility issues (especially in winter), small dogs who travel a lot who can use a pad anywhere successfully, etc.

But the majority of dogs being "trained" to use potty pads are dogs who really should be going outside even when they are small, even when it rains, even when it's hot or cold.

Because most of the time these dogs aren't even reliably trained to the pad.

What they are reliably trained to do is p*e and p**p in the house. 💩

Theia is an 8 year old Australian Shepherd mix who is losing her eyesight. Between that, and her strong genetic herding instinct, she has been having some behavior issues that include trying to control people's movement and an increase in wanting to use her teeth. This is partly because of her breed, but also because the change in her eyesight and a change in her family dynamic has caused an increase in anxiety.

Theia is going through our Great Dog private lesson program and had her first lesson today. Kudos to her owners for seeking help for her and thanks for choosing TGSDT! Stay tuned for her progress! 🤍

⚠️💥 Please do not buy this garbage for your dogs.💥⚠️

There are so many healthy alternatives for dogs to chew on like: elk antlers, stuffed Kongs, bully sticks, Himalayan chews, Benebones, frozen stuffed trachea, etc.

Just be sure to get the appropriate chew for your age, size, strength of your dog. For example, deer antlers are for small dogs who are light chewers, elk or moose for all other dogs and small dogs who are aggressive chewers.

Don't give anything that can split or break into pieces while unsupervised. For me, this means I only use Benebones, Kongs, or appropriate antlers in crates. If the item is small enough or can be broken small enough to fit in the dog's mouth entirely, it's no for me.
