Been taking a step back from projects for awhile but finally getting back into the swing of things here on the farm. Happy to see that my farm page Up North Exotic Birds has hit 10k followers! Never imagined that would be a thing. Thanks to all you guys! Got a few things done before the first major snow of the year. Rheas got moved and the shelter built. Last few shipments went out. Few other quality of life improvements as well like new shed steps and general winter prep. Can't complain about the way the colors pop in the snow!

Well this wasn't on my bird bingo card I wasn't expecting eggs from these 2 for at least another month. Looks like they decided otherwise! Any guesses on how many?? Check my story for the results!

We are so close everyone! 10k followers! Never did i ever think this number would be achieved. Its because of all of you! With that being said im pretty stumped on what kinda celebration/giveaway i should do for 10k any ideas anyone?

Happy dogs! Deer season always brings the spoils and the dogs dont mind at all! Here's to saving money of dog food for the next 6 months lol

I'm starting to love these things more and more. Crested Wood Partridge or more commonly known as Roul Roul. Not very common in provate collections across the Midwest. Hoping to have some succes with them eventually! Such cute little noises they make. And they are finally starting to calm down some! They work well in colonies ive heard so I think more might be in my future 😂

Sometimes its the little things. The stuff you overlook thinking its gotta be something else. Spent hours trouble shooting my heater in the shed replaced parts read error codes did everything. Something told me to check the exhaust. Which should have been my first check 🙂‍↕️. The things im attempting to keep are the things that got me. Darn birds! We're all human. We all make mistakes. The trick is learning from them. Now the roul roul are nice and happy and not relying on multiple heat lamps. And theres a screen installed to keep this from happening again. And on the plus side now ive got some spare parts 😂😂

Calling all hunters and trappers!!! Up North Exotic Birds here. With hunting and trapping season coming into full swing we here are willing to take your carcasses to feed our livestock guardian dogs over winter. Our preferred meats would be deer and beaver but open to others as well. Located in BIGFORK. Willing to barter chicks/eggs in the spring as well if needed thanks everyone!
