Okay guys so those of you that know me know I clearly have problem. And its just keeps getting worse. Everyone meet the newest member of our farm. A pair of white Rheas! Never thought in a million years id have emus let alone their close cousins the Rhea. Here's the fun part. I need names for these 2 gems. So comment down below some suggestions for us! Don't worry its washable paint guys just to mark the male when he was sexed before pickup.

Finally able to make this comparison. Hard to show in pictures. Same age birds. Both hatched this year. Same feed. Same growout pens. They hatched predominantly white with some exhibing color leakage but the size remains the same. While they didnt hit the mark that MacFarlane used to produce i can definitely see the difference. Longer wider body with a bigger breast and just all around bigger than a standard ringneck. Pretty interesting to see!

The hard work finally getting done after ive been putting it off for weeks. Goose pens going up. Framing about 1/2 done just waiting for the next load of lumber. If you can see my vision the front part of each pen will be completely enclosed with metal and filled with hay for early nesters with a top hinging door attached to a string so I can walk by and let them out on warmer days and keep mom locked up on her eggs on the colder days. Hoping this helps me have a bit more success since ill be fighting mother nature! Plus some of the birds were just too good looking not to snap a few pictures plus a few of the non photogenic ones decided to cooperate

We all know how this goes no trip can be complete without some sort of birds/animals being involved. Took a family trip to the Wisconsin Dells and was pleasantly surprised to see many different bird species at the local zoo/wildlife park and the best part of it all was the placement. Front and center right when you walk in. The first and the last thing you see. Glad to see some facilities big or small making birds of all kinds a main attraction! Plus after getting home and realizing some of the birds finally are looking better after molt I couldnt help but snapping a few pictures even if it was cloudy and chilly. Happy birding everyone!

***TRIP ALERT*** I will be traveling along this route Wednesday 8/20 in the afternoon with my destination being Eau Claire Wi that evening and then continuing onto Wisconsin Dells the following morning Thursday 8/21. If you see something on my list youd like me to bring with let me know!

Ringnecks of a few colors and ages. Colors consist of (MacFarlane Line) Whites,red buff, standard, Abyssinian blue, buff. From young birds up to sexable pairs.

Unsexed Nepal and White Crested Kalij. Healthy outside and growing.

2 Mountain Quail believe it to be 2 males no eggs from them this year

6 Champagne D Argent Bunnies. Unsure of sexes as I dont know how to do that just yet. Mom and dad both have papers.
