Some shenanigans over the last few weeks to share as well as an update.

For those of you who have followed the last 4 years, this chapter is finally coming to an end.

I've learned so much, met amazing people, and lived the best life making new, long lasting friendships.

I'm leaving the page up for questions. I'll try to virtually help if needed. If you're an existing client or previous client and need help, please don't hesitate to ask. I will no longer be accepting on new clients, and will not be scheduling regular visits. Those of you that have packages or a current training plan, this will not apply to you.

The website will be coming down this weekend.

For those of you who need to reach out to me, my number is staying the same.

Also please refrain from tagging Muddy Mutts for training recommendations, so we can try not to waste anyone's time since I won't be available!

We will be in the process of moving the next few weeks so I apologize in advance if I'm slower to reply!

Ashe has been working on relaxing in a home setting, but also started branching out to public. She can be a little unsure of new people.

During outings we are simultaneously working on leash manners, reaction to people, reaction to dogs, reactions to children, settling, handler engagement, sit, down, being calmer about entering and exciting a vehicle.

I didn't get as many photos as I'd like to have of Hunter, but Hunter is an older gentleman who stayed for 2 weeks to work on public interaction as well as determining why he acts out on occasion. It was a joy to take in an older dog, and spend some time with a dog I truly enjoy. ♡

Meet Ashe!

Ashe is a young Labrador retriever with a LOT of energy. She's the newest board and train addition and is hoping to learn better settling behavior, door manners, leash manners, stay, recall and socialization with people.

She is a very sweet girl filled with enthusiasm. We are excited to start learning how to harness her energy and excitement in a positive manner that helps her become a nice well rounded dog.

Only a few hours left to enroll in the Puppy Intermediate Class that starts tonight! And last day to enroll in AKC STAR Puppy that starts tomorrow!

Week 5 of Puppy Basics and Kaluha is rocking her stay! ♡

This was only the second time that I have really felt Gypsy was calm enough to take in information. We lose sight that not all dogs are the same, and not all dogs handle high levels of stress the same. Gypsy is a dog that does not manage her stress well, and struggles getting out of her anxious state.

Gypsy likes to take her own path when out and about, and working on check ins with a long line with high value treats can help build value in us as owners/handlers. This was a short glimpse of our first time out.

Having leash manners makes all the difference. Fish, although a medium sized dog, can really dig in and use his turbo legs to pull. Fish is working on matching handler pace and halting to help his home life be less stressful for his family. ♡

Today will be a big Gabbi update! One of the check boxes to work on with Gabbi is rushing stairs. Going up and going down, is REALLY exciting for her and it's always a race. With living in an apartment, this can create a lot of stress for her and her owner in blind stairways. Gabbi has been working really hard on her impulse control with the stairs.

Sadie worked on impulse control and leave it today. Her owners use "Leave It" in a different context, so we are using "Ground" as the command to tell her she cannot ever have an object. The cow ear, ball toy, and the plush toy are off limits. She waited for treats to be placed, and then was allowed to eat the treats and must leave the other objects. ♡ Leave it (or whatever word you use) should mean they cannot have it now, in 2 minutes, or at any time.

Update on Happy!

Jude working on "Place" and overall staying engaged with me. Sorry no sound, as it mainly was my husband sneezing and kiddo romping around upstairs haha. Really enjoying this old jack. ♡ such a good boy.
