Ms. Autumn makes the best! ☺️
When you work hard with a dog - and they show a total understanding - and do what you ask of them without fail. It is special. Time, miles, commitment pays off.
But - when they transcend your training - and their natural, God given abilities set them apart … there are no words.
Murphy, not yet two years old has really come in to his own this season. Wounded birds, birds that hold in heavy wind, hard white antlers, downed game … send him after something you want - As Grandpa would say in Wilson Rawl’s “Where the Red Fern Grows” … He’s bringing it back “Be damned. Be damned.”
The word our generation used to personify excellence was “Jordan” … Rocky Point Kennels, LLC created us a Jordan.
This all despite one of the funniest scenes we’ve ever seen in the field. Murph as a pup on his first hunt last year flushed his first bird … he did about a six foot side jump and looked back at me as if to say … “the hell was that!?”
You’ve come a long way Big Red!
