Who we are:

Mountain Made K9 is a dog training, boarding, and grooming facility that offers the highest quality services and experiences to our clients. Along with pets, we specialize in training fully task trained Service Dogs, Therapy Dogs, and Emotional Support Animals. We are looking for individuals who will:

*Provide quality day-to-day care of boarding clients including:
*Feeding

*Monitoring animal’s overall well-being
*Provide animals with a fun, interactive play experience
*Cleaning and disinfecting of all kennel areas, indoor play areas, and outdoor yards

*Ability to interact with animals in a calm non-threatening manner
*Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
*Ability to lift at least 35lbs-50lbs
*Ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner when interacting with clients

Reaper participated in our 5 week board and train program to learn foundational skills to become a Service Dog for his handler. He did AMAZING in our program and is going home to practice his new skills with his handler for a few months before he returns to us for full public access training and task training.

This team did AMAZING in our program and I’m so incredibly proud of them!

Ducky was rescued by her handler and placed in our 5 week board and train program to learn foundational skills for Service Dogs back in February 2023. After the 5 week foundational program, they continued with our Elevated K9 program where they worked on full public access training and task training. Yesterday she and her handler took our public access test and they did great! This team has come a long way and I’m very proud of both of them!

The dog in this video is my personal Service Dog, Timber! He is a multipurpose Service Dog who is trained to help with my POTS, Chronic Pain, and ADHD. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old and he is now a big 2 year old boy! He’s the most amazing Service Dog I’ve ever had the privilege to work with and is the greatest partner in crime I could have asked for.

Congratulations to these two for graduating our 5 week board and train program!

Tinsel came to Mountain Made K9 LLC 5 weeks ago to participate in our 5 week board and train program to learn fundamental skills for Service Dogs. During her time with us she went through extensive temperament testing, assessments, and evaluations along with all the training she received to see if she would be a good Service Dog candidate for her handler. Each week her handler came to the facility to participate in individualized, private training sessions to learn how to keep up with the training.

Both have successfully graduated and will be returning in a few months to participate in our full Service Dog program where they will undergo full public access training and service dog task training.

I’m so incredibly proud of both of them and can’t wait to see this team continue to grow together!

Happy Graduation Day Gwen, Ophelia, and Izzy! You three made incredible progress in our 5 week board and train program and I’m so proud of each of you!

These three pups came to Mountain Made K9 to participate in our 5 week board and train program for reactivity and aggression towards each other. By the end of the program, they are all 3 able to be neutral around each other and be out together while managing their own loads. They also gained a lot of confidence, overcame some of their fears, became more focused and engaged with their handlers, worked on their on and off leash obedience, stopped engaging in excessive barking while in the kennel, and were put on a potty schedule to help with potty training!

Working with this dog is an absolute joy! He is a 1 year old working line GSD and is also Timber’s full sibling from a different litter! He recently graduated our 5 week board and train program where he learned foundational skills for Service Dogs and is now working on Public Access Training. He will be going home to work with his handler in a few weeks and will be coming back in the New Year for task training!!!

We LOVE getting updates from clients!

Featured is Thea! She’s a young French Bulldog who came to Mountain Made K9 LLC to participate in our 5 week board and train program for reactivity and aggression. During her time with us she learned load management, grew in her confidence, had tons of proper socialization training, learned on and off leash obedience, and learned a solid effective means of communication her owner now uses with her!

Each week, her owner(s) came to the facility to participate in weekly, individualized, private training sessions to learn how to keep up with the training. I’m so incredibly proud of the progress Thea and her handler made in the program and can’t wait to see how they continue to progress.

Thea participated in our 5 week board and train program to work on her reactive and aggressive behaviors towards other dogs. While in our program she mastered her load management training, became more focused on her handler, gained more confidence, did amazing with learning how to be neutral around a variety of distractions (including other dogs), and did great with her on and off leash obedience training! I’m so incredibly proud of the progress Thea made and can’t wait for her to live her new life of freedom with her owner!

Service Dog are trained to perform at least 1 task to help mitigate a handler’s disability. So long as this task helps their handler in public and the dogs are Public Access trained, they are protected under the Federal Law (ADA) and are granted full public access rights in ANY pet or non-pet friendly location!
