What are the 3D's and how do they apply?

Distance - How far away are you from your dog when asking the command?
Distraction - Are there other dogs around, is this a unique training space, lots of new sounds and smells?
Duration - How long are you asking the dog to keep up this command?

When any of these three D's are increased, the difficulty for the dog to complete your ask is also increased. Try reducing any of the 3 D's if your dog is struggling to complete a command and increase any of the 3 D's to help generalize and confirm their knowledge.

✨Bennett ✨

This boy is doing amazing 🤩

We practiced "sit" and "down" for about 3 minutes before I took this video. He takes treats very gently and is SO motivated to please.

We are working on recall next and fetch as he has shown he's a natural retriever.

I am so excited for his forever family. He's going to be such a great companion. If you are interested please reach out to Freckles and Tomcat Rescue directly.

✨Meet Bennett✨

Bennett is my current foster from Freckles and Tomcat Rescue . To say he will be a wonderful family dog is a bit of an understatement. He is so gentle with the kids (ages 2 & 4) and he is very respectful with my older dog.
