‼Veterinarian Appreciation Week‼

💥Doctor of the Day: Dr. Esther Musselman💥

Dr. Musselman has known she wanted to be a vet since she was 4 years old inspired by the surgical repair of her childhood dog's broken leg. As a child, she was often found watching National Geographic animal documentaries and writing reports about different animal species for fun.

She started working at a veterinary clinic as a junior in high school and couldn't imagine leaving the animal care field. In college, she began competing in dog sports and is looking forward to getting involved in that community here in Montana. Dr. Musselman is also working on her veterinary chiropractic certification.

Dr. Musselman's favorite part of the practice is working with owners to help their behaviorally challenging pets live happy fulfilled lives.

‼Veterinarian Appreciation Week‼

💥Doctor of the Day: Dr. Sarah Bruggeman💥

Dr. Sarah knew she wanted to be a vet from age 11 when she saw her dog hit by a car and how the vets could help and care for animals. She grew up loving cats and exotic/zoo animals hoping to one day be a veterinarian for a zoo or wildlife rehab. However, once she started working with Dr. Best at BAFH as a senior in high school, it changed to dogs and cats. Never losing her passion for exotic pets though either! Dr. Sarah is currently working on obtaining her ABVP certification.

Dr. Sarah's favorite part of practice is caring for cats and exotic pets! She loves teaching owners about their unique behaviors and needs to help them build that special bond between an owner and their pet!

‼Veterinary Appreciation Week‼

💥Doctor Of The Day: DR. BEST! 💥

Dr. Best knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from age 10. She grew up on a ranch where the vets would come out and take care of everything - horses, cows, cats and dogs - all at once! She thought that was so cool and wanted to be a mixed animal veterinarian until she worked at a small animal clinic and realized her true passion was for dogs and cats! Ironically, one of the mixed animal doctors who took care of the farm animals, Dr. Hal Sheets, later came to Dr. Best with his dog. What an honor that was!
Dr. Best is currently the only ABVP Specialist in the state of Montana! She is finishing up her latest certification for ABVP and once that is complete will have been certified for over 20 years. Watch future posts for more information about ABVP.

Dr. Best's favorite part of practice is taking care of puppies and helping clients with canine reproduction in order to help create more puppies! She also loves pulling up a stool in the exam room and getting to know her clients - what they do for a living, what their concerns are for their pets and what their goals are for treatment.

As we Prepare to celebrate Independence Day, lets ensure our pets stay safe and comfortable. Here are some important reminders precautions:

Medication Reminders:

* Plan Ahead: if your pet needs medication or sedatives, contact us now to refill prescriptions. Don't wait until the last minute.
*Check Supplies: Ensure you have enough medication to cover the holiday period. Verify dosage and administration.

PRECAUTIONS FOR PET SAFETY:

*Secure Environment: Keep pets indoors, preferably in a quiet, familiar room. Consider creating a safe space with their favorite toy and bedding.

*Identification: Ensure pets have up-to-date ID tags and microchip information in case they get lost.

*Noise Reduction: use white noise machines, fans, or calming music to help drown out the sound of fireworks.
