Toolittletoolate did not finish anywhere close to where we all would have liked. For the first half of the race he was positioned very well, but never finished as strong as we expected.
That all being said he ran his best speed rating ever.
It was not a bad effort, but it was not a good finish. We can work on that.

TooLittleTooLate runs this afternoon at 4 MST. He is in the 8th race in the two hole against 9 other runners.
He is the longshot at 20 to 1.
Our feeling is that he belongs at this level, and even though he ran 7th at this level last out he was 7th by 3 1/2 lengths.
He will need a good ride and he will need to save some ground to have any chance of winning.
He worked good, and Billy Christian (his trainer) says he is training great.
So we will see.

Toolittletoolate is entered to run next Wednesday, and once again we may be asking an awful lot from him.

Billy Christian, our trainer, ran 2nd with Bedrock in the eighth race today along with the 2nd place finish with Mr. Shorty. Both were extremely close. Congrats to the entire barn and a thank you from all of us here.

Mr Shorty goes to post this afternoon in the 6th race in Phoenix at Turf Paradise. Post time is 2:56, we go off at 10 to 1, certainly not insurmountable odds and one of the race predictors has us running 2nd. Personally, I think we make the board.

I am going to get out of Decatur Texas at some point today. The snow is out of the forecast and the radar looks good the roads are probably not.
50% of the people on the highway between here and Amarillo have never driven in this kind of stuff and the other 50% have stayed home.
I'll sweep my pickup off while I wait.

The travel day has been cut short. It is, however. not an accident that it got called off in a Walmart parking lot.
You just never know when you're snowed in, when you might want some ice cream, a snickerdoodle or the bathroom.

Kelly Brinkerhoff sent this picture this morning. It was taken earlier this morning from the end of her and Val's Barn at Santa Anita. She figures this fire is about 10 miles away.
Everyone here hope the best for her, Val, and our former trainer, Gennaro Vallejo and Nick J. Hines. "Sarge" is one of the reasons we, as Run It Twice Racing even exist.
