One of the most asked questions we get when speaking to mare owners is whether or not they should bring their mare in to foal out. Would it be okay to have them foal out at home?
It’s expensive, and we understand so many want to have the experience of foaling their mares out on pasture…. The reality is, everything is always okay, until it’s not. Those moments where it’s not okay are inevitable when you breed your mares. Breeding can be either a heartbreaking game to play, or a heartwarming one, and days like today are a reminder as to how invaluable having the right team attending your mares birth can save lives.
Today, fast action from our team saved this c**t and his mother from a much more grim outcome. Because of that this little (BIG) guy is now ready to take on life next to his dam.
For this c**t and his dam, our team’s knowledge and quick thinking was the difference between life and death.
There is no better feeling than being able to share that someone’s dream made it here safely. We are personally invested in each and every mare and foal that steps foot onto Solo Select and we want to see our mare owners light up when the foal they’ve poured so much into is born.
So spend the few extra dollars.
Make it so your future champion has every chance to achieve the dreams you have for them, they’re worth every penny ❤️
We are so thankful for our amazing team for getting this sweet boy here safely - Maria Gutierrez and crew, Happyy Goodson and Dr. Calva at PEA.
