THE KITTENS ARE COMING!

Kitten Season is officially here and we're seeing more little ones each week. Lots of incoming kittens mean lots of mouths to feed, and we could really use your help. Our most immediate needs for these babies are donations of wet & dry kitten food to help them grow strong while they're in our foster homes. Donations can be ordered from the comfort of your own home and shipped directly to the shelter via Amazon, or they can also be dropped off at YVAS.

Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2ZCALSX5X5OPS/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex?

We thank you in advance for your support - your donation will make a huge difference in the lives of these babies and help support our foster program!

ADOPTED!

Meet Brodie! This smart little fella is a heeler mix and estimated to be about 5 months old. When he first came into our care, he was very shy. He had been wandering from house to house looking for food and was yelled out, chased away, and had things thrown at him. He went into a wonderful foster home that his shown him the kindness he's always been looking for and is now thriving. He LOVES people and other dogs once they've gained his trust. His foster mom describes him as super happy-go-lucky, curious and goofy. He's VERY smart and motivated to learn. He's already crate trained and almost fully potty trained! He also loves to play- his favorite toy right now is any kind of ball. Brodie will need a very active home- someone to keep him busy and match his energy level. He is also an athlete and can jump quite high so will need a tall fence. If Brodie sounds like the perfect partner for your adventures, please read all of the information in his petfinder link below and find application there 🧡

ADOPTED!

JayMoe is the last pup of his litter looking for his FOREVER home! 🖤 All others have been adopted or are pending adoption. He is around 9 weeks old and his mother was an American Bulldog/Pit bull mix. We do not know what else he is mixed with. JayMoe is a very sweet boy with a lot of puppy energy- he LOVES to play but will also settle in for cuddles and kisses. His ideal home would be with someone to keep him busy and active. If you're interested in meeting JayMoe, please follow the link below!

R.E.A.D to a Dog! 📖🐶

Reading aloud helps your young child expand their vocabulary and improve reading comprehension. Learning to read can be scary; a friendly face, particularly one with a wagging tail, can ease reading anxieties and build confidence. Each child will be able to sign up on the day of the program and have a chance to read to one dog. Space is limited.

READ to a Dog is an affiliate program of R.E.A.D.® (or) Reading Education Assistance Dogs® which is part of Inter-Mountain Therapy Animals of Salt Lake City, Utah. This program is made possible by funding through the Otto and Yvonne Mansfield Endowment for Pet Therapy at St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation and the Billings Public Library Foundation.
