In 2011 I started working in an animal shelter and loved it instantly
However, working with rescue dogs brings HIGH highs and LOW lows
There is no better feeling than when a dog gets adopted into their forever home…
and there’s no WORSE feeling than when a dog surrendered or returned due to NO fault of their own.
I realized in order to help these dogs, I needed to work with their new dedicated adoptive parents, just like yourself! Explain why your dog barks and lunges at others (and no, it’s NOT dominance), why pillows are shredded every time you leave, and what we need to do to get over these obstacles.

Adopting a dog takes work and dedication but it is so, SO rewarding in the end.
