Looks like rosie has some babies cookin! Month or so roughly and we hope to see a litter of red pups hit the ground! I plan on getting xrays done to have a precount of how many to expect for her safety and so i can sleep once shes done 🤣

Well good news rosie is in heat and we will be attempting to breed to viper. If ur looking for fast,gritty cold nosed driven redbones pm me to be on a list as i get a list will be the picking order.. hunting homes preffered couch holders will be considered under strict rules.

Well bear season has come to an end for us.. just wanna touch on a few things and whats coming.. to start it off i just wanna say after losing my leader sadie last winter i struggled all year to kinda find who to lean on and hope somebody steps up to the plate.. anf boy did they ever.. for starters maverick hes always been a great tree dog and will run his ass off on a bear but wouldn't stick when things got rough.. well this year maverick has shown me he is the real deal. Just a few years longer than i woulda hoped! But hes been a dream to watch this season. Now for his brother viper when i took him back and was told he wasn't good enough but never had a chance.. and has been a key role in my pack from the very beginning.. now he is more of a leader and tack driving fur missle. Now to rosie she has always been a solid all around dog.. well she reached a new level this year and has pushed harder than i have ever seen. And now for my non red dog that has made an impact all season long my catahoula raven. She has shown me how she is a very key part into keeping bears bayed up until i show up. And as of late ran her own bear vs ridin backseat until its a sight chase.

Now for winter things to come. I am going to try to get rosie bred to viper soon as shes in season. And also plan on breeding my blueticks ace and honey. Once honey comes in. Both litters will be independant fur missles for c**n cat or bear.. they will all have a hell of a nose and big voices. Stay tuned for updates!!

Well here she goes🤣.. if anybody makes it to through this you deserve a gold star.. so a little backstory on this bear.. last season he showed up in august and would come to 2-3 different sites and dump the entire barrel out and eat it off the ground. Hed eat 6-8 buckets anytime he showed up... last season i had some good buddys tryin to kill him we made it into the first bayup almost as fast as today but it was all uphill to get to them. I watched that bear grab and throw sadie like a ragdoll she didnt look like she was even alive in the air. And i told tom if i get a chance im gonna kill him if u arent with me.. well i had about a 5 second window and i simply froze and never even thought about shooting that bear.. well we walked and bayed it 6 hours and 13+ bird hunter vehicles screwed us up on road crossings soon as he would get within 50 feet a car would go by and he would turn back in.. well fast forward to this season.. everybody who was following his posts n pictures knows he just showed up a few days ago.. and it was game on. Well theres been 6-7 different shooter bears and sow and cubs in every night since he first showed his face.. and last night he was in around 11-12 and sow n cubs came in after till about 3am..well when i got into the cameras i checked the second camera i put up just to get a different angle of him and sure enough he was in till 4:48 or something like that. Anyways so im pumped but my gut is hurting knowing whats about to happen.. i was nerved up to say the least. Anyways so i start by putting ace and goose down (gooses first run back since he got hurt) they go in ace does a small half circle finds it and hes off goose did the same but did a full circle at the bait and came back to me.. so i said frig it i cut in viper rosie and raven to help ace. They catch up and sounding good i back up to the corner to turn around and decide ill try to cut goose in from the top cuz i could hear them pretty good same exact spot goose got tore up few weeks ago.. and he goes to them.. by the time goose gets to the rest they have him caught. And hes walking n baying. At this time dads going on the road behind them to hopefully push em back to me if he can. So after s bit i cant hear dad and dogs are walking n stopping every 2-3 minutes so im like i gotta go around. Get over and they are stopped for 10minutes at this point. Maybe 15 im 150 yards from the dogs i get loaded n work my way in. Wind is perfect rain just started. Kinda ideal.. i get within 50 yards i can see a black blob im like i dont think its the same bear..he looked small balled up how he was. And all i hear is raven barkin her head off and circling that bastard while the others are face on about 2-3 feet from him sitting down. I ease my way in and im not in a good spot im behind the bear like when i got run over 2 bears ago🤣. Well i said chances are hes gonna break my way and ill have a shot when it happens. And i get within 10 feet and he does exactly as i pictured in my head swats at the dogs looks at me comes towards me and slaps the ground i have no shot yet i see viper or rosie in my view he kept comin now 2-3 feet dogs are all to my side of the bear and i let em eat one which took his jaw out and dropped.. viper comes around grabs its head as hes tryin to get back up i grab his collar throw him away from me and give him another.. and another.. finally done!!! Im still shaking as im writing this. Absolute brute.. i still think he had 100+ lbs on him last season vs this season. But overall 430lbs and a target bear that i wanted to get some revenge for sadie and viper getting hurt last year from him and possibly goose this season. Dogs are good viper has a handful of holes in his ass but what else is new for him.. dogs had him stopped in 24 minutes from the time i cut loose at the bait..sh*tty pictures in the rain but good enough!

Well today was just for fun and it was eventful.. thanks for taggin along Chris Sweet glad u got to watch my sh*teaters do there work. I cut loose rambo n rosie to start it and dumped ace maverick raven and viper.. once they caught him it looked bad dogs scattering on the gps i see raven back off and kinda get outta the race which she got her head back on straight and went back in for more.This bear was a nasty bu**er id say all of 200lbs prob bigger.. he bayed up 50 yards off the road we walked winnie in on a leash hoping it was a tree but had an idea it was on the ground. I handed her off to chris to go see if i could get eyes on him and boy i sure did lol 😆 i saw him comin and took a step back and fell over a rock and he went right over my legs i think if i was standing i woulda got it much worse. Anyways we walked back to the truck and dogs bayed it a few more times and finally sounded like it climbed a tree. So we walk in and boy he climbed to the tippy top haha didnt want no more.. pulled dogs back pretty far after a bit and he wouldnt come out so we juat walked out after an hour of waiting. Every dog on the ground got holes today.. but they made it happen i couldnt ask for much more than that..

Ol maverick n viper pushin hard on a 70lb runner! Musta had new nikes on today🤣 dogs got within 50 yards of it on one of the roads but never could catch hell of a chase 19+ miles today. Dogs are sleepin good tonight lol

Dogs did some fine work today.. few dogs hurt but will be fine rambo swelling on his ribs is getting worse i hope he can make it through bear season atleast if not i may lose him unfortunatly.

Well today first bear to come into a bait close by ran him for 5 hours got to see dogs work him good dogs packed in perfectly bayed up multiple times and treed once that i know of but he bailed id guess they forced him up a small tree and he wasnt comfy.. but dogs are simply driving tracks and putting alot of pressure on every run just simply not climbing as easy this year.. im sure without sadie is a big factor but im not gonna make excuses ive had training seasons like this where none treed till the last day of training season. And it was a small bear.. every bear so far has been over 200 no less.. very capable of treeing but they arent fat yet.

Was a good morning of training season! So far we have had 8 chases 8 bayups and walk n bay runs.. no trees yet but i see where my pack is and whos my go to dogs got some dogs starting to shine that havent in previous years.. way nice to see.. skip to the end of thr videos if u dont want to watch boring parts lol

Everybody who is against using hounds for bear or any animal thinls we don't take care of our dogs well let me tell you something.. between my top 4 hounds this year since october ive got over 30k now in vet bills and over 17k between these 2 overall.. on top of it all no puppies will be had from rosie this absess she had im confident her body said no to puppies but ya.. both are home and on the road to a longggg recovery!! Allsssooo this is why tips are nice they are saved for times like this unfortunatly ace emptied the 3years of tips i had saved on his surgery... they will have to make up for the money this fall ;p

I dont really have words for this i truly don't. My pack will never be the same. But we will push forward. Sorry to the ones wanting pups from her she did not come home after yesterdays emergency.. rosie still appears to have signs of pregnancy we will know more as the weeks count down for her.. to all who know sadie know what a hell of a hound she is and how much she worked her ass off to please me and show her pack how its done. A true leader an absolute machine with no will to quit.. if she was down u know fur was beibg pulled and ud be walkin in to a bay up or treed bear.. the rest of the pack knows what to do 2years ago sadie didnt get to hunt the entire month of october due to injury from a bear and i wanted her to heal fully so kept her home.. the pack stepped up and treed and bayed bears everytime out.. so i know they got it. Its just never going to be the same. Someday ill find another sho hunts like her and has the same bark change but until then we are gonna do our best and work our asses off this spring and summer to be ready to go head first into this season.
