Say hello to Copper!
Copper is a 1.5 to 2 year old hound mix! This poor guy came to us and was extremely under weight. He was in our shelter before and returned and this second time around he has developed some major anxiety and is not doing well in the shelter environment. He plays well with other dogs but since he may have been without food or under fed he is a little protective of his food so feeding him separately from the dogs is a good idea until he’s comfortable and knows he’s going to get enough food! We are looking for an adopter or foster asap for him because his stress is so high here. He needs someone who can give him a place where he can decompress. He is such a friendly and playful guy but the shelter environment is not the place for him. He has lived with other dogs and doesn’t seem to have any issues with other dogs that he sees! You can’t forget about that hound howl! He definitely has it and it’s adorable! Plus we can’t get over how cute his floppy ears are! If you’re interested in giving Copper a chance at a new life please fill out an adoption questionnaire:

We encourage you to reach out if you don’t hear back or if you have further questions Phone:607-778-2493 yEmail:[email protected]

Look at this handsome guy! 🤩

Say hello to this handsome man Murphy!!

Murphy is a bully breed mix who is oh so handsome! We love the unique spots on over his eyes! Murphy is very food motivated making him very trainable! He tries really hard to hold it and goes outside to go potty for the most part which is a huge plus! He isn’t doing great in the stressful shelter environment and would love to get him out asap! I mean how could you say no to that smiling face?! If you’re interested in Murphy please fill out an adoption questionnaire!

Say hello to Scout!

Scout is a 3-4 year old hound mix who has become a favorite at the shelter because of her want for snuggles! If you’re a sucker for a snuggly dog then Scout could be the little lady you’re looking for! Scout would prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can have all the attention to herself. She would likely do best in a home without small animals or cats. She does love children! On the energy scale she is at a medium level so expect her to run around briefly and then be ready to hang out the rest of the night! She is housetrained and pretty clean in her kennel. We think she's got some beagle in her so her adopter should expect her to think with her nose and bark a bit. If she sounds like a dog you’re looking for then please fill out an adoption questionnaire!

Meet Rover

Calling all Aussie lovers! Meet the incredibly handsome Rover. Rover is a one year old purebred red tri Australian Shepherd. He does have AKC paperwork! Rover found himself at the shelter after his current family wasn't the best fit for him. He would prefer a home without children and someone savvy with the breed. Rover loves adventures and the outdoors, including swimming and fetch! He's very smart and knows sit, lay down, stay, come, shake, roll over, and retrieve. Typical for his breed he is very eager to please and will need a future home with someone who can meet his physical and mental needs. He'd likely excel with a job or sport to do. Rover has previously lived with cats and done great! He hasn't had a lot of exposure to other dogs, but we think due to his young age he could adapt. Rover is also housetrained, crate trained, and rides well in the car. We know the perfect aussie lover is out there for Rover! If you’re interested in Rover please fill out an adoption questionnaire:

Meet Pound Cake

Who doesn't love cake?! Meet Pound Cake! Pound Cake same into the shelter as an impound and unfortunately her owner never came forward. We believe she is a boxer mix. Pound Cake has been such a good girl at the shelter! She's been extremely easy going and mellow. She has been housetrained and keeps her kennel very clean. She hasn't shown much interest in toys or treats, but enjoys spending time with people. Pound Cake also has the most beautiful eyes! She is still settling into the shelter and doesn't seem interested in making friends with the other dogs. She may do best as any only dog, but we aren't entirely sure how she feels about other dogs yet. Since she is new we are still getting to know her. Someone will be luck to add this sweetie to their family! If you’re interested in Poundcake please fill out an adoption questionnaire:

Meet Otis

Are you looking to add a BIG boy to you family? Look no further than Otis! Otis is a very large, very goofy, very out going pup. Otis came into the shelter with Moose when they decided to take themselves on a little adventure. Unfortunately, his owner never came to reclaim him. We believe Otis is a lab mix with maybe some Great Pyrenees. Otis is in his awkward teenage stage so he's still figuring out his body. We are sure he will grow into his legs eventually, but this does mean he is going to be a pretty large boy. Otis wants to be best friends with everyone he meets! He seems to really like other dogs and wants to play. He hasn't met a person he doesn't like! We think he might be okay with cats, but may want to plat with them. He's very goofy and loves to do zoomies. Otis does seem to be housetrained. He will need some work on leash skills. If you’re interested in Otis please fill out an adoption questionnaire:

https://www.gobroomecounty.com/shelter/dog_shelter_adoption_questionnaire.

Meet Elsa

Introducing Elsa, aka Elle, aka Elle bear. She is a petite cream Shiba Inu weighing about 15 lbs. Shiba Inus can be a tricky breed and she needs someone with patience and understanding. Breed experience or willingness to learn will be ideal. She is intelligent, playful, determined, cuddly and loves her people. She makes lots of funny noises and really enjoys spending time with her family. She has the cutest airplane ears when she gets excited (it’s a shiba thing!) She loves walks and hikes and is very athletic, but also loves just sitting with you watching the world go by or snuggles on the sofa for movie night. She does well with positive based training, and she loves to learn. She is very food motivated and attention motivated. She loves puzzle feeders, games and enrichment. She loves playing with people and can self-entertain when needed. She is crate trained and house trained. She does like space from other animals when eating and playing so being the only pet in the home is ideal. She’d do best with older children. She has a high prey drive and does not do well with cats or small mammals. She loves to be outside and to sunbathe. She is goofy and full of personality. If you think this happy little Elle Bear would be a good fit for you please fill out an adoption questionnaire:

Meet Moose! Moose is a lab mix who came to us as an impound and wasn't reclaimed. He was picked up with another dog and seems to be friendly with his neighbors. Moose has been a pretty easy going, laid back guy. He's well mannered and just wants to hang out with people. He would make an amazing family dog! We think he may do well with cats too. Moose does seem to be housetrained and has pretty good leash skills. If you’re interested in Moose please fill out an adoption questionnaire:
