The night time drive gives you an opportunity to view some of our resident species that are primarily nocturnal and less active during the day. It's a truly magical opportunity! Perfect time to spend with family or friends, or just enjoy some peaceful solitude by yourself 🎅🤶

Starting TODAY from dusk until 11pm, come and Experience the zoo in a whole new light! Come start the magic of the holiday season here at Wilderness Trails Zoo. Thousands of illuminated lights will transform our pathways into one of the most magnificent winter wonderlands. Come see it for yourself!

Tis’ the season! This is the first year the zoo will be open all year❣️

We can’t wait to step into the holiday season here at the zoo! Don’t miss the first day of our drive through light display tomorrow! Lights begin at dusk, ticket information listed on our website.

In other gift shop news… We’ve decided Franny the Owl makes a better night inventory manager instead of cashier😂 come see her in the gift shop after taking a drive through our holiday lights! (Starting November 9)

National cat day was just yesterday! 🐱

We hope everyone had BEAR-y much fun at all of our Halloween fundraising events throughout the month of October!

Wilderness Trails Zoo is beyond grateful for all of the support from local communities. All fundraiser proceeds go directly back to zoo improvements happening everyday, and all of our beloved animals care, diets + enrichment. We couldn’t make it happen without all of you, so thank you to everyone who has taken the time to join us throughout the month of October! 🖤🎃🧡

Just a handful of the trail tour group from last night!!
Seeing the trails after dark is one cool experience- we even got the hyenas to cackle and wolves howling!
Cheers me back out tonight (Saturday 10/26) for another chance to see the zoo after dark!

Capybara snack time ASMR .. Sound up!🔊

Thank you to our lovely keeper Aira for capturing this adorable moment of our capybara having a bite. Did you know? Capybaras have high-crowned, narrow-edge teeth that grow continuously to compensate for the wear and tear of eating tough plants.
