Almost $1800 donated… so close to $2000 to wrap up this Giving Tuesday. Thank you all so much 🙏🏼❤️

Less than $200 donated so far and that’s really scary. Every year for the past 5 years, we would get thousands of dollars donated on this very special day of the year. Other rescues are reporting the same thing. I’m not sure how we’re expected to still help and survive in this economy if this is going to become to norm. It also doesn’t help that Facebook is doing everything possible to remove any post like this from your newsfeed. Like I said, this is very scary for nonprofits 😞

Now that the gift was delivered yesterday, I get to share the surprise with you all. I had this awesome idea to spoil my favorite vet this year for Christmas with an “advent calendar” type gift. I wrapped each item in tissue paper and packed them in boxes… all 25 of them… for her to start unwrapping on the 1st. Dr. K helps me out a lot and is always available by phone whenever I have a question or need help. She is vital to the rescue running smoothly and for these Hail Mary cases I take on to have a chance. I hope she knows how much I appreciate her!

(I told her she can open up how many presents she needs to that day for a mental and emotional boost after a tough case or whatever. She’s opened 3 so far which I’ll share in the post 🤭)

My next goal is to do something special for the vet clinic as a whole and for my fosters and volunteers. I’m still brainstorming. It’s Giving Tuesday! Please make it special by donating towards our veterinary fund and special projects. Yesterday, 5 kittens went to the vet… We have so many more to schedule so they can become adoption ready!

We are also working on refreshing the rooms here at the rescue. That means replacing the old cat trees, visiting the thrift store for “new” comfy chairs, and etc.

We currently have some supporters helping us with outdoor projects. The giant 8x12 shed is installed and another smaller shed is on the way, along with some items to make our outdoor wash station better. The next project will be the giant catio. It’s really difficult for me to find time to do everything so I appreciate all of the help and resources to get it done.

At the vet today with 5 kittens.

Can you believe Turbo is 8 months old?? He came into rescue back in June and was already around 2 months old. Little dude is just a permanent kitten. He’s never had any health issues and has always been a hearty kitten so I’m not sure what’s going on… Going to let the vet see him today and see what she thinks. Turbo lives up to his name and is the most high-energy kitten I’ve ever raised. He runs LAPS around the 1400 sq ft cat room.

I set my phone down for 2 minutes next to some kittens and they kept patting at my phone. They deleted the front doorbell camera 😵‍💫🤦‍♀️😅
