Uno’s Home needs help clearing this space out! *Valleydale location*
Would anyone like to help me box up and move the items from the upstairs room currently being used as storage so we can get flooring installed and drywall put up? We gotta move in kitties later this month so we’re on a deadline! Also would like someone to help me coordinate a garage sale with a lot of this stuff to benefit the rescue.
Look at this “feral” boy 🥹
Benson is so sweet! So Benson has a wound on his face and walks with a limp due to an old break in his front paw. He is FIV+ and at least 7-8 years old which is amazing for an outside kitty. He definitely deserves to live out the rest of his life inside where it’s safe and warm. He got a pain injection and an antibiotic injection today because the removal of his balls was a bit more extensive… they were MASSIVE. So massive the vet put them in a jar and they will be her new desk decor haha.
I’m so glad he wasn’t euthanized at the shelter when they said that’s all they could do. He is meant to be here.
Benson is our last kitty intake before I announced the intake hold due to fundraising needs. It makes me sick to my stomach having to put a pause on things because there are more cats like him whose only chance is Uno’s. Please see the pinned post on our page for ways to help so we can end the intake hold ASAP.
Thank you!!
I’m trying to unload another Sam’s Club supply run from last week’s donations and this is what I’m dealing with. I don’t think anyone realizes how obsessed these cats are with me when it’s just me here.
“Mom’s home! What did she bring us??”
A lot of these cats have been saved from our partner shelters. This is why Uno’s Home is unique and important. Adult cats have a safe place to live. It’s impossible to find them all homes when we’re experiencing an animal welfare crisis. This is why I’m always asking for food and litter donations. These sweet faces rely on it ❤️
A message from your fearless leader 🤗
I posted this to my personal Instagram but I think you all deserve to see what a snow day in Alabama does to me haha
Yes, the dogs got dinner at almost 1 AM and didn’t make a PEEP because they were all like “heck yeah, nap time with mama!” 🫠 … They immediately looked at me at 7 AM asking for their breakfast like they just didn’t eat 6 hours ago so everyone got mini breakfasts. The last 40 hours has been weird to say the least.
I just made this and I shouldn’t have because now I’m ugly crying. She was so happy.
What a completely different cat! Keller Marmalade improved so quickly at the emergency vet. He was only on oxygen for less than an hour. They still don’t know why he crashed like that. His glucose levels are back to normal so that was a ridiculous stress response… to dying. As previously stated, his lungs and heart sounded good so no pneumonia or heart issues. His lymphocytes are still elevated so they want us to follow up with more bloodwork next week. He’ll continue on antibiotics.
Thank you for donating! That was really scary.
