Helping puppy mill dogs brought this special girl into my life and I could never imagine how perfectly she would fit in my crazy life being a completely blind puppy. I never intended on keeping Gigi as a resident rescue but she thrives being around all of the dogs and cats… and unfortunately, panics whenever she leaves all of her friends. She also follows me around everywhere and is my little shadow. She brings me joy and comfort, which is much needed in my life.

Gigi also does something very important… She alerts me whenever Jude is having a seizure. If I hear Gigi start freaking out and barking uncontrollably, I know Jude is having a seizure and I am able to get his emergency midazolam faster. I would say this amazing ability of hers alone has cemented her spot in the rescue.

I truly believe in fate and Gigi is exactly where she’s meant to be ❤️

Kuro got an enclosure upgrade today, too! I’ve been a busy bee 🥰

Kuro is one of our new kitty transfers from Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter. He came to the rescue because little homie doesn’t have eye lids. This enclosure was donated to the rescue and I’m so happy Kuro now has a multilevel enclosure because he is such a spitfire with lots of energy!

So I bought this for Lollipop and just put it together… and found out it fits PERFECTLY under the counter and in between the braces. I immediately purchased another one. They’re $85 if a few folks would like to donate towards the third and final one I would need to ease my OCD mind 😅

They’re for teeny kittens or a single special needs kitten like spina bifida kitten Zoey.

* Her sister Gumdrop is who passed away suddenly and without warning. Sometimes the names get mixed up when people check in… I don’t even realize it so I don’t correct it at the time. I don’t mind though. They literally looked just alike and it doesn’t make me sad hearing/reading her name. She was loved. *

Our stock room is EMPTY. The last bag of adult cat food was opened this morning so I need to make a food run. Sam’s Club sells the giant bags and they’re on sale right now which is such a great deal!

I’m looking for a few donors to help us raise $200-$250 so we can hopefully get the maximum amount of 10.
