Bowser is highly treat and toy motivated, loves to play, enjoys his walks, and does well in a crate. He’s still learning his manners, so he’ll need a patient and understanding foster to guide him. Underdogs Bowser and Marge had a magical meeting with Santa on Thursday! Their biggest Christmas wish? Santa paid a special visit to us at Pawms Pet Resort Downtown Birmingham! We had an amazing time sharing our Christmas wishes with him—our rescues, Bowser and Marge, even got in on the fun!

Marge is looking for a foster home! This energetic and playful girl adores spending time with other dogs and would love to be your holiday snuggle buddy. While Marge still has some puppy energy, a patient and understanding foster would be a great match for her. She does need to be crated when left alone, but don’t worry—we’ll provide everything you need to care for her.

Meet Jolene, aka Jojo! Jojo is the sweetest girl! She was found shot in her leg and had to have part of it amputated, but don’t worry, it doesn’t slow her down!She is a warrior and a gentle soul around all people! She is roughly 3.5 years old and is both cat and kid friendly. Jojo is kennel/house trained and very cuddly and affectionate. Though she gets along well with male dogs and small dogs, Jojo has had some altercations with other females in the past. It is because of this that we recommend that she be the only dog in the household. Email Katelyn at [email protected] for more information on adopting sweet Jojo!

“Hi Jill, this is Berkeley and Dalton! We have been thinking back over this past year and how getting Milton was one of the best decisions of the year! He loves playing with his sister Oakley, laying in the sun for hours, and running with us. We can’t say the word “run” anymore or he’ll start howling with excitement and run to his leash waiting for us 😂”

So grateful that sweet Milton found his forever home!

Today’s Sunday Spotlight is with Alumni, Rutabaga! Rutabaga was brought to use in June ‘24 and was finally adopted on October 12, 2024. Here’s what her new family has to say:

“She was attracted to the sink and counter at first so i put in a bed. That is home base. She had been venturing out and is a hissy pants which is GREAT because she has so many cats to meet. Going slowly and doing well except with Pigeon, the instigator, who is a little princess with everyone.
Today (10/17) Rutabaga she made great progress onto the bed and up the cat tree. We’re really happy.
Now she has returned to her house for a rest.
On Halloween, we graduated from the sink❤️❤️”

Santa Paws is coming back to the Pawms Downtown! Each session is $20 (cash or venmo) and goes towards the care of our rescues. Payment can be done at the time of sign up via venmo (-Rescue-AL) or when you arrive.

Please understand times could be pushed back slightly depending on each pup, though we will try our best to stay on track as much as possible.
We will provide the photos within a few days after the event and we will email them to the email you provide. If your dog will be boarding/attending daycare this day, please let us know at drop-off! If you have any questions before the event, please message us here🎄
