Our Story

Valleydale Animal Clinic was established in 1976 and provides personal attention to pets and pet owners in Birmingham, Hoover, Pelham, Chelsea, Helena, Indian Springs and other areas of Jefferson County and Shelby County. Active in the community, we are members of the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and support the Shelby Humane Society and local animal rescue groups and were proudly named the “Best Veterinarian in Shelby County” by Shelby Living magazine.

We are proud to be one of only 4 AAHA-accredited hospitals in greater Birmingham. Pet owners gain peace of mind when they choose an accredited practice, because they know their AAHA-accredited hospital has passed the highest standards of veterinary care.

Our clinic is a full-service small animal veterinary hospital that specializes in comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for your pets.

Valleydale Animal Clinic includes an in-house pharmacy, surgical suite, hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking area for our canine guests plus spa grooming services.
