Well Being Medicine For Animals began as a means to provide affordable veterinary care through the use of Integrated modalities of medicine. The goal is to guide and educate pet owners in an understanding of the use of acupuncture, dietary therapy and herbal medicine as an alternative to conventional pet care. The primary focus is to bring awareness to the subtle patterns and imbalances that may l

ead to imminent disease. The correction of these imbalances through minor adjustments will bring about harmony and wholeness in the body resulting in longevity and fullness of life. This business strives to offer hope in seemingly hopeless situations. Gentle medicine can improve quality of life in situations of terminal illnesses, geriatric diseases, and even debilitating or painful arthritis. Remembering this guy today! Today we honor Beau for all the wonderful years he helped me build my dream, the first holistic veterinary clinic in the Birmingham area, Well Being Medicine. If you would have told me that I would be doing this without him now, I likely would have never began the dream. And continuing without his help, has been overwhelmingly difficult. We haven’t seen Parker move this good since her mom adopted her. Parker has severe debilitating hip dysplasia. She has been coming every 4-8 weeks for acupuncture and chiropractic for 2 years now. Since the dysplasia is so severe, we chose her to be apart of our introductory pilot group for the Piezo Shock Wave. This is her walking around our backyard after her 7th treatment. We are all quite thrilled with the results! The shock wave not only reduces inflammation and reduces substance P (pain response) it also helps the bone to remodel reducing the painful osteocytes that come with arthritis. We are so excited about this new modality we have to offer our patients. This video made our week! Charlie came in to see us for severe debilitating neck pain. His cousin is a vet in Savannah so he was treated initially with some heavy duty pain meds but he was still having difficulty moving much. When I tried to examine his neck he only had about 10% range of motion to the right. We were all a little concerned that a tumor could be causing the pain but his mom still wanted to give acupuncture and chiropractic/spinal manipulation a try. She sent me this video after his 3rd treatment. She said this was the first time he had greeted her like this since the issue began. His mom has weaned him off the heavy duty pain meds and is giving his supplements consistently.
