Wally needs a home or a foster home! Talk about great obedience! This guy is super focused, loves pets and treats and is very smart! He does great with digs his size and bigger with a controlled introduction. He is a bit sketchy around smaller digs and will snap at them. He has been great with all adult humans and should go to an active home. We are getting questions about this new canine respiratory disease that is going around and what we are doing to be prepared for it. We already have the highest protections in place since covid. We use rescue to clean our kennels and it is rated to kill everything bleach does but is gentler on pet’s skin and noses and requires less contact time. We have a peroxide fogger that we use to disinfect the entire building if there is any inkling that something may be going around. We also installed a UV filter system on both of our HVAC units to help purify the air continuously. We have also been sharing information with our staff for early detection. We do have two kennels set up in our garage if we need to move anyone out of the facility due to owners not being able to pick them up. If we hear of any other protocols we will add them in as well. There has been one reported case in Bismarck and we are trying to be as prepared and vigilant as possible. We ask that if you feel your dog may be ill to follow the recommendation of isolating your dog for four weeks. Please, please, please do not board your dog or bring them in contact with others if you feel they may be sick or are acting “off” as there is no current treatment and it appears to be very contagious and last a long time. We will do our best to keep all pets safe and healthy while in our care and ask for your help to do the same! Perseus (aka Percy) is looking for his own king size bed to sleep in. This huge, boisterous 1 yo, 106 lb, neutered male who is up to date on his shots is an incredibly smart but strong young man! He appears to get along with other mid-size and larger dogs but is looking at some of our smaller dogs like they could be a snack so we will keep you posted. He did get into the chickens at his previous foster so if you have a farm be sure you only have small to large livestock. He loves people and has no body awareness so small children would likely be plowed over by this big guy. I strongly recommend an experienced dog owner adopt this guy because he is very confident and very strong. He responds very well to obedience to interrupt his bad behaviors such as pawing and jumping on people which we are working hard to get ahead of.
