Need a pet sitter for an upcoming trip? Hire a PROFESSIONAL!

I advise pet parents to do their due diligence to ensure they are hiring a true professional. Here are a few tips:

1️⃣. Schedule an in-person meeting. I advise pet parents to schedule an in-person meeting with any potential pet sitter they are considering. This “meet and greet” or “initial consultation” gives pet parents an opportunity to meet the pet sitter, see them interact with their pets, and review their services as well as their credentials and policies.

2️⃣. Ask the right questions. Are they insured? Do they use a pet-sitting service agreement or contract? How long have they been in business? Is it only them that will be entering your home and interacting with your pets? Do they work any other jobs? Ask for references.

3️⃣. Don’t delay booking your professional pet sitter. Many professional pet sitters find that their schedules get booked up quickly.
