7 years ago today we had our ribbon cutting for A Diamond in the Ruff. It's kind of crazy that we opened and closed our original location exactly 7 years apart, to the day! We have fully moved into April's plush puppies and are working out of a separate room in her building. She is such a wonderful and amazing colleague. We appreciate her so much. Our businesses are completely separate and our phone number is still the same. We are still doing walk-in nail trims from 8:30 in the morning until at least 1:00 in the afternoon, but could be open up till 3:00. If you're going to come in the afternoon definitely call ahead and make sure what time we're going to be out. Thank you for your support during this crazy transition to our new permanent location. Hopefully we will have more information on that soon! Happy Anniversary to A Diamond in the Ruff!

Everybody, We are getting close to our first step in our transition. On the afternoon of the 25th we will be closing our doors in our current location permanently. Almost 7 years ago we moved in and it started A Diamond in the Ruff. We will be moving into a room at April Plush Puppies beginning on the 1st of may. This is a only a transitional step until we can get into our new permanent location. Our phone number will stay the same, please don't call April trying to book appointments for us. We will be located in a separate room at 1137 wire Mill Road in Black Eagle. Our businesses will stay completely separate. Only the location will be the same. If you have any questions please feel free to give us a ring and we will get back to you as soon as we can! We are booking appointments for May and June at the temporary location. Our space and appointment times are limited. Thank you for your understanding during this transition!

So we've had a minor hiccup on the road to relocation. We hired an architect to design our new place across the street from where we're currently at and he passed away 3 days later. We are waiting to find out if there is someone who is going to pick up his contract with us or how we proceed from here. We have received our 30-day notice to vacate so we will not be in our current location after April 30th. We have a wonderful friend and colleague that owns April's plush puppies. April is letting us use a room in her salon to groom out of temporarily until our new home is ready. Our businesses will be completely separate, but we will definitely be guests in April's house. ♡ Our hours will be different, but Amanda and I will be able to keep grooming during the transition.

Meet Eleanor. Eleanor was living on the streets as a baby and was taken in by us and has been living in the salon getting used to noises and dogs and people. She's a quiet kitten who loves to play and will make a beautiful lap cat. She has a beautiful light colored undercoat, and a very unique dark face for a tortoiseshell. She is very stunning. She has short Stumpy legs which makes me think she's part munchkin cat. Hard to say without a DNA test but her sister has the same short legs as she does. I think it's likely. These two little boy kitties are going to be looking for their new homes. Meet DB Cooper and Murtaugh. They are both very sweet young men. There used to being around dogs. DB Cooper is already neutered and current time vaccinations. There is a $100 adoption fee for him. For the little orange boy, Murtaugh, if you're wanting to adopt him we would set up a neuter appointment and you could just pick him up from that and pay for his neuter and rabies vaccination. Let us know if you're interested in either one of these very sweet young guys. Feel free to stop by the salon to meet them.

If you have ever wanted to own a standard poodle, now might be your opportunity. The breeder of our poodles in Texas has a litter of puppies. She still has four available males then they will be ready on July 8th. She's an amazing breeder of absolutely beautiful standard poodles. Raistlin and Voltaire are such great dogs! I can't endorse her enough!

We have clients, who in September went on vacation to Northern washington state. Their extremely shy dog, Murphy, got loose and was not seen again. They searched for him to no avail. In December there were sightings in Canada. The family dropped everything and went to look for him. Somehow, Murphy defeated all the odds. He crossed the border and became an illegal alien in Canada. Surviving on his own for 3 months fending for himself, he overcame hunger, wild animals, cold weather, and deep wilderness to survive. When he was spotted, his family dropped everything and went to look for him. They found him alive and well and brought him home. We donated groom since he needed a bath so badly! Welcome home Murphy! It's a Christmas miracle!
