It’s no surprise to most of you that elephants are my favorite wild animal, I love them and want to see their numbers increase. My grandkids visited this past June and told me that they want to see an elephant in the wild one day, I hope they get that chance.

Today is world elephant day, I hope you express your concern, share your knowledge and support solutions for the better care of captive and wild elephants alike. The escalation of poaching, habitat loss, human-elephant conflict and mistreatment in captivity are just some of the threats to both African and Asian elephants.
