WE ARE REACHING OUT FOR HELP! We are so close to getting in to our new shelter, but we still have so many animals to take care of ON TOP of everything we are working on for the new shelter. We can't just put that on hold until this project is completed!! We are dangerously low on funds for our medical care and are reaching out to the public and our community for help!! We could not have made it this far without all of you! And we are almost there!! But please if you can, donate! We do not make enough off of one adoption to cover a single dogs/cats medical care! We have seen soooo many comments about this dog that was recently brought in by animal control and we want to make a few things clear. Our animal control watched this dog for about three days, she checked with the surrounding homes AND the land owner who said he had never seen the dog, the dog was eating on another deceased dog that had been hit and drinking out of any small puddles he could find FOR 3 DAYS this dogs collar was extremely tight (indicating he had out grown it and it had never been let out) we want to make the public aware that our county animal control takes all the necessary steps to get any dog she finds back to its rightful home before making the decision to bring it in the shelter. This dog could have been dumped, it could have fallen out of a truck, we don't know. But what we do know is that the property owner and the people in the surrounding homes said the dog was not theirs. And being here at the shelter is safer for the dog than where it was at.

Freddie 1 year old chiweenie mix. Freddie was returned to the shelter due to trying to bite someone. Freddie was originally from a hoarding situation with over 20 other dogs. We want to remind everyone that with unsocialized dogs there is always the possibility of being bit! Freddie needs an owner that will properly socialize him and advocate for him (don't let strangers approach your dog) if your dog feels overwhelmed and not safe in a situation THEY WILL PROTECT THEMSELVES. Is it okay for a dog to bite? NO, but it is our job to control the environment our dogs are in and teach them WE will protect them and that they don't need to do it themselves. Freddie has not shown any aggression since being back with us he is just extremely scared.

We are looking for some storage totes and rolling office chairs for the new shelter!! If anyone has some they are interested in selling for a bit cheaper price or are just looking to get rid of them and would like to donate we would love them!! If you do please shoot us a message!

IHOP is ready for her new forever home!! Her staples were taken out today, she is healthy and ready to go! IHOP was an awesome farm cat for most of her life (has even taken on a fox!) But now that she's down a leg she needs a nice safe place to relax and call home. IHOP is 5 years old we aren't sure how she is with other animals her previous owner said she does not like other cats but she has had a neighbor while she's been recovering and hasn't shown any aggression. Come on in and meet her if you are interested in adopting!!

With our Grand opening a little over a month away we still have so much to do!! We are working morning, noon, and night to get everything ready!! Because we will be using many of our kennels here, over at the new shelter we will not be taking any new dogs and cats! (Unless brought in by animal control of course) please help us by keeping your animals contained, and maybe come in and adopt!! Thank you all for your support!!!
