We are NOT a rescue, but when someone posts an emaciated dog who is a mile away from us, my heart strings get tugged pretty quickly. How could we be so close and not help this pup?

Sophie Jane aka Texas Tornado🌪
The very first time she visited The Ridge a few years ago, we came under a tornado warning, while she was here. A tornado had been spotted within a few miles of us and it was a creepy sort of calm. The sky was dark and it was completely silent. Then, the hail came. It hit HARD on our metal roof. I quickly scooped her up- we ran in the house, jumped in the tub and covered our heads with a mattress that I ripped off a bunkbed, lol.
Also in the tub were Holly, Stormy and my son Eli and another little dog, Flossie. We wuz SCAY-RED!
We all survived and continue to enjoy our sweet little visits with each other.
Sophie Jane is a loved little girl at home and on The Ridge.🐾
