This tiny, "senior" poodle baby is just precious to me. Several years ago when she first began visiting The Ridge, she was a little "spicy". She bit me, growled at me and snarled those little sharp teeth at me at every touch and even every whisper. It took tons of coaxing just to pick her up!
I kept telling her that I could either bite her back or she could learn to trust me. Lol
She chose to trust me over a little time and with some patience- from her and from me. Now, she can't see and can barely hear. BUT- she can feel. She can feel that when she is transferred into my arms, she is just fine. She knows her spa day has arrived and that she will be cared for while she is with me for the day. Warm blankets, gentle cuddles and some sweet kisses on her head are the usual, now.
Im so glad she chose to love me back. 💛
