My sweet girls. Life will be so much different without you in it. The best of the best. The goodest girls.
To my sweet Sally (Hidden Springs FanDancer) what an incredible legacy you have left behind. My heart is broken, you were so beyond loved by everyone. A dream pony. A saint. And so much more. You were the world’s best teacher and friend. To know you was to love you and you were so loved. I hope your retirement was everything you wanted. You have lived the life of luxury these last few years. I pray that you are galloping in fields of green grass and warm sun. They say all dogs go to heaven but I know all horses do too. You deserve it my sweet girl. 32 years was not nearly long enough.
And to my beautiful Skittles. You were truly one of a kind. You made the sweetest babies as you retired from the show ring, and you taught so many kids how to ride. You had the most lovable qualities and you will be missed forever. I remember riding you when I was a kid and you were truly one of a kind. A fan favorite. And a true child’s pony. The fancy golden girl. You have always been the kindest pony. My favorite part was your big kind eye and the cutest facial markings I think I’ve ever seen.
It has been an honor and a privilege to know both of these ladies. Not only at the top of their game but as they slowed down and retired to large green fields, stalls, fans, blankets, warm meals twice a day, and all the love and affection they could ever wish for. I hope you both know how much you were loved and how much you meant to every child and adult you touched. They say bad things come in threes and I hope it is over for me for a while. Losing these 3 girls in the last month has been heart breaking to say the least. 3 amazing ponies who will live on in our hearts forever.
