With the upcoming holidays, we just wanted to let everyone know the schedule changes for the next 2 weeks.
-Closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
-1/2 day New Year’s Eve.
-Closed New Year’s Day.
-remaining days will follow the normal hours but this means we won’t be doing house calls for the next 2 weeks.

Holistic Veterinary Consultants is expanding their service area for home visit vet appointments!

After many years of doing home visits in Craig/Giles/Montgomery Counties and in clinic visits at their Blacksburg location, the decision was made to expand home visits to the Radford/Fairlawn area.

HVC offers routine care such as exams, vaccinations, & lab work, as well as integrative care (acupuncture, laser & herbals).

Laser Therapy (aka: photobiomodulation) is a noninvasive pain free, drug free, surgery free treatment option for many problems your pet may have. The infrared light interacts with tissues at the cellular level. Metabolic activity increases within the cell to improve the transport of nutrients across the cell membrane, which in turn increases cellular function & health. Laser therapy can relieve pain, reduce swelling, and increase range of motion. Results can typically be seen after the first treatment, but most patients require several treatments for the greatest benefit. Treatments vary in length, but the typical time per area is 2-8 min. Laser can help with: osteoarthritis, joint pain, edema & congestion, ligament sprains, puncture wounds, post surgery pain, neck/back pain, burns and many other ailments. We can also use the laser for acupuncture on patients unable to stay still for 20 minutes with needles in place.
